dc.description.abstractThis paper will discuss how government policy can challenge and reshape old business practices, instill new attitudes in management and vision in business, and open new windows of opportunity through foreign partners by using Korea as a model. The first chapter will provide a historical and cultural background to business in Korea, followed by a brief look at the corporate structure of Korean chaebols. Lastly, a discussion of the cultural traits that may contribute to the hindrance of economic prosperity and the new role of Korea's government in business in the new millenium.-
