Debate on Kyoto Protocol and Multilateral Cooperation for Emission Reduction

Abstract

이 논문은 지구온난화를 야기시키는 그린하우스 효과의 원인과 그 충격을 고찰하고, 쿄토 의정서에 대한 선진국과 개발도상국 간의 마찰을 다룸으로써 Prisoners의 딜레마에서 탈출하기 위한 다국적 협력의 필요성을 설명하고 있다. 궁극적으로 이 논문의 목적은 그린하우스 효과를 유발시키는 가스를 줄여 지구온난화를 방지하는데 있다. 또한, 개발도상국가이면서도 OECD 국가인 한국 정부의 특별한 노력이 설명되어졌다. 쿄토 의정서에 대한 선진국과 개발도상국 간의 마찰을 다룸에 있어서 이 논문은 각 국가별로 서로 다른 의견들을 고찰하였고, 그린하우스 효과를 유발시키는 가스를 줄이려는 국가간 다국적 협력이 지구온난화에 대한 문제 해결 방법으로써 제시되었다.;This thesis, by examining causes and impacts of greenhouse effect and the debate on Kyoto Protocol, aims to discuss about how to resolve the dispute between developed countries and developing countries, and to examine the need of multilateral cooperation to escape prisoners' dilemma in Kyoto Protocol and reduce greenhouse gases. Also, as a role of bridge between developing countries and OECD member countries, Korean governmental action for reducing the greenhouse gases will be explained. In debate between developed countries and developing countries on Kyoto Protocol, this thesis will examine each country's different positions on reducing the greenhouse gases. Finally, multilateral cooperation among countries will be suggested as the way to solve the problem regarding global warming.
