Joseph Haydn의 Keyboard sonata에 관한 小考

Abstract

하이든은 일반적으로 음악사과정에 있어서나, 또는 keyboard 작곡가로씨 그의 중요성을 過小評價하기 쉽다. 그러나 그의 음악에서는 새로운 구조, 극적인 격렬함, 그리고 이제껏 다루지 않던 다양한 音域을 찾아볼 수 있다. 또한 하이든은 주제발전과 변주곡 형태에 있어서 새로운 개념을 불러 일으켰으며, 화성적 어휘를 풍부하게 한 革新者라 할 수 있다. 하이든에 대한 本 論文을 요약하면 다음과 같다. Ⅰ. 하이든의 생애-생애, 성품, 그의 작품들. Ⅱ. 소나타 소나타의 語原, 초기 소나타의 類型과 기악 소나타에 있어서 trio sonata의 설명, 18세기 소나타의 주요 樣式, 그리고 하이든 以前의 18세기 음악가들에게서 나타나고 있는 소나타 특징들을 다룬다. Ⅲ. 하이든의 keyboard 소나타 하이든 작품을 썼던 期間을 5期로 나누어서, 시대별 특징과 소나타에 나타나고 있는 주요 樂式, 그리고 대표적인 작품을 소개한다. A. 제 1 기 St. Stephen 성당을 떠나 첫번째 궁정계약을 하게 되었던 시기로써, 그의 작품속에 나타나고 있는 Wagenseil이나 C. P. E. Bach의 영향을 살핀다. B. 제 2 기 Esterhazy 家에 고용되었던 시기로써, 이 시기는 하이든 작품의 전환기라 할 수 있는 새로운 요소들이 그의 작품속에 나타나 있다. 따라서 하이든의 독창적인 양식을 살핀다. C. 제 3 기 이 시기에 하이든은 empflndsam style로서 화음의 갑작스러운 변화, 異例的인 전조, 선율상의 진기한 同音 (turn), 잦은 휴지, 갑작스러운 sforzando의 표시등등을 사용하고 있다. 이러한 형태는 1760-70년대를 통해 절정에 이르렀다고 할 수 있는데, 그 당시 독일문학에 적용되었던 Sturm und Drang ( 疾風怒濤 ) 과 같은 의미로 묘사되기도 했다. 따라서 이 시기의 소나타 특징들을 살핀다. D . 제 4 기 樣式이나 樂式에 있어서 완전한 성숙기에 이르는 시기이다. 이 시기는 하이든이 모짜르트를 만났던 때이기도 한데, 하이든 작품 속에 나타나고 있는 모짜르트의 영향을 살핀다. E. 제 5 기 Esterh?zy 家를 떠나 자유로운 몸으로 런던을 방문했던 시기이다. 이 시기의 작품은 낭만주의적인 要素를 느끼게 하는데, 그러한 특징들을 살핀다. 이상과 같은 하이든의 keyboard 소나타를 다루어 본 결과, 筆者는 초기 소나타에서 부터 하이든 소나타에 이르기까지 자주 사용되었던 樣式과 樂式에 좀 더 깊은 지식을 얻을 수 있게 되었다. 아울러 하이든의 다양한 手法은 18세기음악에 있어서 매우 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있으며, 19세기 낭만주의 음악과도 밀접하게 연결되어 있으므로 그의 작품들은 더욱 높이 評價되어져야 한다고 생각된다.;It is easy to underestimate the importance of Joseph Haydn both in the general course of musical history and in the position as a composer for the keyboard music. But his sonatas acquired new structral dimensions, a new dramatic intensity, and a more varied range of emotion than had yet been achieved. Haydn was an innovator who introduced a new concept of thematic development and variation form and enriched the harmonic vocabulary also. This thesis on Haydn's keyboard sonatas can be abstracted as follows: Ⅰ. Life of Haydn-Life, Personality, and His works. Ⅱ. Sonata--Origins of the term 'Sonata'. Description of sonata in respect of early sonata type and sonata in the instrumental music. Representative styles in the 18th century. Characteristics of sonata which are shown in pre-Haydn composers. Ⅲ. Haydn's keyboard Sonatas Five periods in Haydn's works. Characteristics, representative forms in his sonatas and his works in each period. A. The First Period The period when Haydn worked at the court of Count Morzin after he left St. Stephen's Cathedral. In this period he was affected by Wagenseil and C.P.E.Bach. B. The Second Period The period when he was hired in the Esterhazy family. Many new aspects which gave a turning point in Haydn'e works are shown in this period. This part deals with his unique style. C. The Third Period Haydn introduced the empfindsam style, which requires rich expression. This style gradually appears in this period. This part deals with the characteristics in the sonatas that were written by him in this period. D. The Fourth Period Period of maturity both in form and in style. He met Mozart in this period. This part deals with the influence of Mozart that was effected upon Haydn's works. E. The Fifth Period Period of the two London visits after he left the Esterhazy family. This part deals with the characteristics of his works in this period, which show romantic tendency. While I studied on Haydn's keyboard sonatas, I could gain knowledges about the sonata styles and forms which were used by pre-Haydn composeres and by Haydn as well. Also, I could have a conclusion that Haydn's various styles in his works have much importance in the l8th century music, and that his music shows an inkling of the 19th century romanticism. Haydn's works should be estimated highly.
