題材上으로 본 現代小說의 意識構造 硏究

Abstract

This article is review and consider the various materials as a subject matter in the seventy-four short stories which have been published in the Mun Hak Sa Sang and Hyun Dae Mun Hak during the first half 1975, especially in the light of the consciousness structure in the short stories. In this sense, it will suggest a new vision for us in a literature pieces which review the modern stories, consciousness structure. The materials are generally devided into four main kinds: There are time and place as a material, nature and civilization as a material, sex and women as a material and the religion as a material. As a result of research, moderns face a danger of war to provoke, so their soul become sick, their values is caostic, the ethics collapsed and lost affirmative consciousness. They are come to an misundersting each other and that they undergo absolute isolation among others. The young resist and criticize reality and the middle ages are anxious about the real situation and talk big with meagre passions and the old are isolated the daily life. And modern. stories' impressions to the nature have civilized. Plants and animals that writers uses in their workes have thought the more important material in symbolized moods and images than primary meaning. And they considered conseption of sex as a mere method that purse pleasure and did as immoral conduct whichdoes not follow ethic and moral. Also they treated false religion which make use of religion as commercial conduct, as a method which is intended their comfort than real religion which base on fundamental ideaology. Though we face hard time, defeated situation writers should creat new characters who can challenge the hardship and rebuild a new society with conrage and confidence.;本 論文은 1975年度 上半期 文學思想과 現代文學誌에 실린 74篇의 短篇小說을 가지고 現代作家가 作品속에서 즐겨 다루는 題材를 分析하여 거기에서 나타나는 人間傷을 考察하였다. 여기에서 題材라 함은 文學作品에서 主題가 되는 材料은 本 論文은 거기에 나타나은 現代小說의 意識構造를 알아보는 데에 있으며 그것은 오늘의 同 時代人들에게 새로운 비련을 提示하는 作業과 相通한다. 分析하여 본 題材는 題材로써의 時間性과 空間性, 題材로써의 自然과 文明이라고 한 것은 담배와 다방, 술집, 여관을 이르는 말이다. 그리고 題材로써의 性과 女性의 問題, 題材로써의 宗敎性에 對한 問題 등이다. 이렇게 題材로써 살펴 본 現代小說의 意識構造속에서의 戰爭의 再挑發의 危險 속에서 價値觀은 混沌돼있고 論理는 崩壞되어 있으며 生命에 대하여 尊貴한 背定的인 意識을 잃어 버렸고 이웃과 이웃간의 意思가 斷折되었으며 그 속에서 絶對孤獨을 경험하게 되었다. 젊은이는 現實에 反抗하고 批判하며 中藏年은 공허한 情熱로 情勢를 근심하며 氣焰을 토하고 늙은이는 孤獨한 日常性 안에 沈沒해 버린다. 그리고 自然에 대한 感想조차도 文明化되어 버렸다. 現代作家가 作品속에서 다루고 있는 織物과 動物은 이제 그 自體가 지닌 本來의 意味보다는 그것이 作品속에서 象徵시켜 주는 雰圍氣와 이미지에서 더 重要한 意味를 찾게 되었다. 現代作家들은 또한 性에 대한 槪念조차도 論理와 道德이 수반되지 않은 不道德한 行爲로써 단기 쾌락을 추구하는 手段으로써만 意識하고 있다. 宗敎 역시 宗敎가 本來지니고 있는 根本理念에 立脚한 宗敎人보다는 自身의 安逸을 꾀하는 手段으로써 冠營利的인 行爲로써 宗敎를 利用하는 似是非 宗敎人을 다루고 있다. 이와같이 살펴 본 小說속에서의 現實은 비록 어려운 時期에 處해 있지만 作家들은 이러한 狀況에 패배하지 말고 이런 어려움에 도전하는 새로운 人間形을 創造해 내야만 할 것이다. 그리고 勇氣와 信念으로서 살아가는 새로운 사회를 建設해 내야만 할 것이다.
