닫집에 관한 연구

Abstract

This thesis is to understand 「Dat-Jip」(닫집, 唐家). There are many Dat-Jip remains in most of buddhist temple. Nevertheless, the previous research was very few. The reason is as follows; The first is the problem of viewpoints. Untill now we thought that Dat-Jip is same as 「Buddha's canopy」(天蓋) or 「T'an-Ga」(唐家), and a part of ceiling decoration. The second is the deficiency of records. We cannot conquest preodic boundary because most of existing remains were made afther the 「Japenese Invasion Of Korean in 1592」(壬辰倭亂). And we cannot judge that most of existing remains is representative during that period. The main objective of this thesis is initially justifying concept and meaning of Dat-Jip, raising a question and solving the problem about the style arrangement. Dat-Jip reflects the one of regional chracters in buddhist art and is a equipments of Palace precious (寶宮) represented adornment of buddha's image and buddhist cosmology and the construction to part exclusive space, it is the same as Buddha's canopy (天蓋) in the viewpoint of "Adornment" but different completely in "structure". If we express Dat-Jip in chinese words, we may write like this; 唐家 But that is not included the concept of Dat-Jip in the buddhist thinking, If we think it is comming into combination life style with the culture of the contries bordering on westem china and chinese buddhism, we can suppose that Dat-Jip was originated from the in terrelationship, having the regional characters and in the course of years it becomes fixed just like now. we can search this organization process atthe column (entasis) and niches. Dat-Jip is classified into three styles in accordance with upper structure form; a Buddha's canopy (寶蓋形), the assemly hall of a monastery Buddhist temple (雲宮形), a building that contains a statue of Buddha (佛殷形), the style of assembly hall of a monastery Buddhist temple is subdivided into two types; Ungungipsikpan.(雲宮立飾板), and a simplerized building that contains a statue of buddha. The style of a building that contains a statue of Buddha have four types; Il-ja. (一字), Chong-ja (丁字), A-ja (重字), Jung-a-ja (重亞字). I think that all af the this form was not being changed in accordance with periods but coexisted. Only there have a phrases of the time each form, for example from the brief style to the gorgeous and beautiful one. But with the passage of time, it is inclined to being ornamental, formal and enlarged. This research investigated the figure of discourses of buddha in order to study the meaning of Dat-Jip. The main conclusing of this research is that Dat-Jip is the symbool of calling back buddhist inspiration to the populace's mind and doing the intermediatidn embrace buddhism.;이 논문은 寺刹에 가면 누구나 쉽게 대면하게 되는 닫집의 연구이다. 쉽게 대면할 수 있을 만큼 遺構가 많이 남아 있음에도 불구하고 닫집에 관하여 기존에 연구된 바가 거의 없는 실정이다. 그 이유는 두가지로 정리될 수 있다. 하나는 觀點의 문제이다. 닫집을 天蓋나 唐家와 같은 개념으로 해석하고, 장식천장의 일부로 보는 경향때문에 연구의 대상에서 제외되고 있었기 때문이다. 또 하나는 資料의 문제이다. 現存하는 닫집의 대부분이 壬辰倭亂 이후의 작품들이라는 시대적인 한계성을 지니고 있으며, 그 한계성을 극복할 만한 文獻資料가 남아 있지 않기 때문이다. 또한 남아 있는 작품들이 그 시대의 닫집들을 대표하는 것들이라고 단정짓기도 어렵다. 닫집이 갖는 자료의 한계성이다. 따라서 본 논문은 닫집의 개념 정의와 닫집의 성립·닫집이 내포하고 있는 의미·현존하는 유물의 양식 정리에 대한 문제제기와 해결의 시도라는 입장으로 정리될 수 있다. 제 Ⅰ장에서는 닫점의 개념을 정의하기 위하여 天蓋와 庸家, 닫집의 개념을 살펴서 상호간의 관계를 정립하였으며, 제 Ⅱ장에서는 흘림기둥의 전래와 壁龕의 형식을 살펴 봄으로써 닫집의 성립을 논의하고, 제 Ⅲ장에서는 현존하는 닫집을 寶蓋形·雲宮形·佛殿形으로 나누고, 각기의 유형을 上部구조의 평면 형태나 虛柱의 有無에 따라서 세분하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 하여 각 닫집의 특징을 살펴 보았다. 제 Ⅳ장에서는 닫집이 내포하고 있는 의미를 고찰하기 위하여, 諸經典에서 說하고 있는 淨土의 모습과 닫집과 닫집을 장엄하고 있는 여러가지 장식물들을 비교 검토하여, 닫집이 표현해내고 있는 불교사상이 무엇인지, 닫집시설의 의도를 알아 보기로 하겠다.
