원시문양을 Design한 현대 자수작품에 관한 연구

Abstract

르네상스(Renaissance)이후 예술가들은 이성에 집착한 나머지 사물을 분석하거나 인체를 정확하게 표현하는 일에만 몰두하게되어 미술이 현실과 멀어지게 되었다. 이러한 상황이 계속 누적되어 오다가 20세기에 들어와 기계문명이 급속도로 발달하면서 대두된 원시미술에 대한 관심은 현재까지 꾸준히 계속되어지고 있다. 그것은 지적인것에 얽매이지 않은 순수하고 생생한 원시인들의 조형의식에 관심을 갖게되고 기계적이고 획일화된 문명상황속에서 순수하고 원시적인 본능을 동경하며 염원하는 회귀심리(回歸心理)가 작용했기 때문이라 여겨진다. 원시미술의 순수함과 강한 생동감은 정신적 안정과 영감의 근원이며 원시속에 내재하는 단순성과 그 이미지는 무한한 가능성마저 지니고 있다. 점차로 메말라가는 현대인들에게 인간성의 고취를 위해 원시미술속에 담겨져있는 보다 강렬하고 창조적인 힘과 대지의 생명력과도 같은 힘을 새로이 되새겨볼 필요가 있다. 인간성회복을 위한 현대인의 노력은 원시미술에 가까이 접근함으로써 인간의 내면세계에 전달되는 생명력의 효과를 얻을 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 점차로 잊혀져가는 원시미술을 현대 자수작품에 응용하여 원시문양을 재구성하여 표현하는데 있다. 이론적 배경으로는 문헌을 통해 원시미술의 개념과 원시미술의 특성, 그리고 원시미술의 상정성에 대해서 고찰하고 원시문양을 현대자수에 적용하고자 한다. 연구 결과 원시미술은 특정한 시대 및 삶의 한계를 뛰어넘어 강인한 생명력을 지녔으며 현대적 표현에 무한한 가능성을 지녔음을 알 수 있었다.; After Renaissance, the artists devoted themselves in analysis things or describing corectly human bodies so that they were attached to reason itself. Therefore the art and the reality were apart from each other. The circumstances had been continuously kept going until early 20th century, but from 20th century the civilization of machinery made people to have a concern about primitive art. That concern is not attacked to intellegence itself but formative consciousness of primitive which is pure and vivid. Because the unifide and mechanical civilization, we thought it was operated by recurrence psychology which aspir the pure and primitive vitality. The purity and the strong vitality of primitive art are not only a source of the inspiration and stabilization but also contain even unlimited possibility which is existing inside of the primitive. For the modern who are getting harsh to stir up humanity, we need to reconsider strong and creative power and also the power which is might be some with vitality of the earth which is existing in primitive art. The effort of modern for recovering humanity can have the effort of vitality which is being transmitted to human inner life, through approching closely to primitive art. The purpose of this study is to try to apply the primitive art, forgetten gradually, to the piece of modern embroidery work. For the theoretical background, concepts, characteristics and symbolism of primitive art are considered through literature. And primitive pattern come to apply to modern embroidery. From the result of this study we can see that the primitive art is having strong vitality beyond the limitation of life arid also art containing unlimitation of applying to modern.
