Abstract
흰쥐에 morphine을 장기간 투여하면 육체적 의존성의 증후로 체중 증가율이 감소하고 morphine 금단기간에는 급격한 체중감소를 보인다. Morphine에 의존성이 생긴 마우스에서는 naloxone을 투여하므로써 자발적 도약이 일어난다. 본 실험에서는 morphine투여기간에나 금단기간에 인삼을 투여하므로서 인삼이 morphine에 대한 의존성에 어떤 영향을 미치는가에 대하여 관찰하였다. 실험결과는 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았으나 중등량의 인삼 엑스 (20mg/kg)를 morphine과 같이 투여한 쥐에서는 체중증가율이 약간 증가하는 경향을 보였고, 소량의 인삼엑스(10mg/kg)를 같이 투여한 쥐에서는 약간 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 또한 인삼을 투여하여도 morphine의 금단기간에 일어나는 체중감소를 예방 또는 완화시키지 못했다. 한편, 마우스에서 볼 수 있는 금단도약은 인삼전처치(50mg/kg)로 약간 감소되는 경향을 보였다. ;The effect of ginseng extract on the development of the physical dependence on morphine were studied in this study. Change in body weight of rats during a 22 days of repeated administration of morphine and loss of body weight during morphine withdrawal by injection of naloxona were compared in ginseng treated and untreated groups. The degree of withdrawal jumping in morphine dependent mice were also compared in ginseng pretreated mice and control group of mice. Growing rate of rats during chronic morphine treatment with increasing does appears to be reduced slightly without any statistical significance. Administration of ginseng extract (20 mg/kg,10 mg/kg) during morphine treatment did not show any significant changes in growth rate. However, there were some tendency of increase in growth rate in the rats treated with medium dose of ginseng extract (20 mg/kg), while the treatment of rats with small dose of ginseng extract (10 mg/kg) appeared to reduce the growth rate during chronic morphine administration. The loss of body weight during morphine withdrawal were not influenced by ginseng treatment. The degree of withdrawal jumping in morphine dependent mice appeared to be slightly reduced by ginseng (50 mg/kg) pretreatment (90%) as compared to that (100%) of control mice.
