홍난파 음악 연구

Abstract

서양음악이 우리나라에 소개된 것은 1900년 전후라고 말해진다. 서양음악이 한국에 들어온 80년의 역사를 되돌아 보면 초기의 선각자들에 의해서 작곡이 시도 되었고, 당시 그것에 대한 관심이 높았던 것으로 보이나, 초기의 작곡활동에 대한 학문적인 연구가 아직 활발하지 않은 것으로 보인다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 초기 작곡활동과 한국음악계의 상태를 살펴보기 위해 홍난파의 작품을 연구하려 한다. 특히 홍난파의 가곡은 그 이전의 이상준의 것과 비교해 볼 때 피아노 반주가 있는 격식을 갖춘 가곡이기 때문이다. 서론에선 홍난파의 작곡활동을 파악하기 위해 당시의 환경을 약술하였다. 즉, 기독교의 수입과 더불어 시작된 찬송가의 보급을 효시로 한 한국에 있어서의 서양음악의 발단과 발전 과정을 서술했다. 또한 홍난파의 생애를 II에서 간단히 다루었고, III에선 홍난파의 작품중 성악곡 15곡과 기악곡 5곡을 형식과 화성적인 면, 선율의 형태, 구성적인 면으로 분석하였다. 특히 널리 애창되는 그의 가곡을 중점적으로 다루었다. 먼저, 가곡에 있어서 언어와 음악과의 관계, 언어의 억양과 성악의 선율, 반주와의 관계, 성악 선율의 형태, 반주의 형태 등으로 분석하였고, 다음으로 기악곡을 분석하였다. 홍난파의 작품에 대한 연구는 초기의 서양음악의 작곡활동에 대한 체계적인 지식을 얻음에 도움이 되리라고 생각한다.;It's been said that w stern music was introduced to Korea around Looking back upon the beginning of western music in Korea, compositions were tried by pioneres and their interest in it was great. But at the beginning, their activities were not so strong. The purpose of this study is to know the activity for composition and the situation of the field of music at 1900's in Korea through the review of works of Hong, Lan-Pa. Especially, works of Hong, Lan-Pa were different from that of Lee, Sans-Joon, i.e., the art songs of Hong have piano accompaniment, while those of Lee do not. The situation of western music in Korea were summarized for helping the apprehension about tbe works of Hong, Lan-Pa at the introduction through which the beginning and development of music in Korea were described. At that time, Choral were spread together with the propagation of Christianity. The life of Hong, Lan-Pa was described at the section Ⅱ. 15 vocal works and 5 instrumental works were analyzed on the stand points of the form and harmony, form of melodic line and structure at the section Ⅲ. The famous art song of Hong, Lan-pa were analyzed on the viewpoint of the relationship between intonation of language and melodic line of voice and between the style of melodic line and of accompaniment. Through that investigation his song and pieces were analyzed. This study on the works of Hong, Lan-Pa is to be a guide for systematized information on the western music in Korea at that time.
