개편찬송가의 편집현황에 대한 고찰

Abstract

1948년에 발간된 합동 찬송가는 해방 당시 한국교회의 각 교파가 서로 다른 찬송가를 사용함에 따른 불편을 느끼고 장, 감, 성 세 교파의 교계 지도자들이 상기 세 교파에 공용될 수 있는 한 찬송가를 발행하려한 노력의 결과였으며, 그 내용을 재검토하여 좀 더 이상적인 찬송가를 발행하고저 한 노력의 결과가 바로 개편 찬송가의 발행이었다. 그러나 이 찬송가는 발행되자(1967년) 바로 비판을 받기 시작하였는데 그것은 가사의 졸속한 변경, 어색한 편곡 등 여러 문제로 의한 것이었다. 이러한 제 문제로해서 여러 교회와 수많은 성도들이 이 찬송가의 사용을 거부하고 나름의 취향대로 찬송가를 선택하여 사용한 결과, 오늘날은 한국 교계에서 사용되는 찬송가의 수가 상당히 많은 실정이다. 그러므로 교파를 초월한 집회에서는 모인 성도들이 찬송함에 서로 불편을 느끼지 않을 수 없게 되었다. 이에 본고는 연구의 범위를 「개편 찬송가의 편집 상태」에 한정하고 그를 고찰하는 한편 좀 더 이상적인 편집의 범위를 모색하여 다시금 한 찬송가의 필요성을 느끼고 논의중인 오늘날의 교계에 일방향을 제시하고저 하였다. 그 방법 면에서는 1) 개편 찬송가 자체의 역사 고찰과 2) 개편 찬송가에 수록된 찬송들의 종교 음악사적 배경의 고찰을 통하여 그 편집의 상태를 분석하였는데, 그 결과 대단히 심한 편중현상을 볼 수 있었으며 연구 중의 문헌 고찰로 좀 더 이상적인 찬송가 편집을 위해 소재를 제시할 수 있었다.;During the emancipation period, there was an uncomfortable feeling between the many Korean sects because their use of different hymnals, The efforts of the leadership of the three major churches, Methodist, Presbyterian and the Holy Church, resulted in publishing a hymnal that would have a common usage among the sects. It was published in 1948 and known as the Hap Dong Hymnal. Later, as a product of the examination of the original Hap Dong Hymnal, a more realistic hymnal was prepared and called the Gye Pyun Humnal. In 1967, as soon as this hymnal was published, it immediately received damaging criticism. It was criticized or because many of the words of the songs were changed and also because of the awkward arrangement of some of the hymns. Because of many problems like this, the different churches and numerous members rejected the usage of the Gye Pyun Hymnal. According to each church's members, they individually produced other hymnals and as a result the Korean church system today have many different church hymnals, Therefore, the different church members in Korea, because of the unsatisfactory use of all these hymnals, can't help but feel uncomfortable. In this theme, we have examined the many limitations of the Gye Pyun Hymnal and have come to the conclusion that a plan must, be set forth to create a now hymnal, which would have the much needed common usage for among the Korean sects. Again, many church members feel the need for one hymnal and among their discussions are many helpful directions for the church systems of today to accomplish this need. The points within this changing method are: 1. Considering the Gye Pyun Hymnal itself as a history. 2. Analyzing the background of the religious musical history of the songs collected in the Gye Pyun Hymnal. Through considering this researched literature, a little more reasonable subject matter for the compilation of a hymnal is presented.
