현행 여자중학교 체육교과서의 무용단원 분석

Abstract

1. 연구의 목적 본 연구는 현재 사용되고 있는 중학교 체육교과서<여자용>의 무용단원의 내용분석을 통하여 개편된 교과서의 내용특성과 구조를 구명하고 개정 공포된 문교부이 교육과정과의 비교를 통하여 차후 교과서 개편 또는 개정에 참고적인 자료를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 또한 본 연구는 무용단원의 분석을 통하여 교수를 설계하고 준비하는 교육자에게 교수설계에 구체적인 참고자료를 제시하는 것이 그 목적이다. 이상의 연구목적을 기초로 본 연구에서 해결하고자 하는 구체적인 문제는 다음과 같다. (1) 현행 체육교과서 중 무용단원은 1973년 개정 공포된 중학교 무용교육과정의 내용과 일치하는가? (2) 개편된 현행 체육교과서의 무용단원의 특성과 구조는 어떠한가? 2. 연구의 방법 제기한 연구문제의 해결을 위하여 본 연구에서는 내용분석(Content Analysis)의 방법을 적용하였으나, 문제의 성격에 비추어 두가지 측면에서 그 분석기준을 구하였다. 첫째, 현행 교육과정과의 일치도를 구명하기 위하여 1973년 개정 공포된 중학교 체육교육과정 중 무용에 관한 내용영역 그 자체를 분석기준으로 선정하였다. 둘째, 무용단원의 특성과 구조를 밝히기 위하여 과제분석의 기준이 적용되었다. 분석단위는 단어와 문장으로 용어와 개념의 분류를 위하여는 단어가 그 분석단위로 사용되었으며, 원리와 법칙의 분류를 위하여는 문장, 과정과 절차에 관한 지식과 기능을 분석하기 위해서는 문장을 분석단위로 하여 분석되었다. 3. 연구의 결과 및 논의 이상의 분석기준을 준거로 하여 분석된 현행 교과서의 내용특성과 교육과정과의 내용 일치도를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 현 중학교 체육교과서<여자용>의 무용단원의 내용은 교육과정과 괴리된 현상을 보이고 있으며 거의 일치하지 않는다. (2) 현행 교육과정 중 무용단원의 내용은 주로 용어와 개념 중심이다. (3) 무용단원의 민속무용분야는 주로 무용용어와 개념 중심으로 구성되어 있다. 따라서 무용에 관한 원리와 법칙 및 무용의 과정과 절차에 관한 지식 및 기능에 관한 내용이 결핍되어 있다. (4) 무용단원의 창작무용분야는 주로 무용의 원리와 법칙 및 무용에 관한 과정과 절차에 관한 지식 및 기능으로 구성되어 있다. 즉, 창작무용분야는 창작무용에 대한 개념 설명이 빈약하다. 따라서 Bucher와 Ferdun이 제시하는 무용교육과정 이론에 비추어 볼 때 상당히 대조적이라는 것이 주목된다. Bucher는 무용교수를 효율적으로 달성하기 위해서는 신체동작에 관한 과학적인 원리, 무용형태, 무용창작 및 기교에 대한 이해, Notation 기교, 의상, 무대 및 조명에 관한 이론 및 체육과 일반교육에 관한 과학적인 근거에 대한 배경이 요구된다고 주장하고 있으며 Ferdun은 창작무용의 과정을 춤추기(performing), 안무(choreographing), 감상(appreciation), 관계짓기(relating)로 구분하고 있다. 이상의 연구결과를 기초로 본 연구의 문제와 결부시켜 도출된 결론은 다음과 같다. (1)현행 교과서의 무용단원은 교육과정과 상호관련성이 없으며 따라서 교과서편찬의 기초로서 교육과정에 대한 고려가 요구된다. (2) 현행 교과서의 무용단원은 학습구조적인 측면에서 허점을 포함하고 있으며, 학습위계적인 관련이 빈약하다. (3) 앞으로의 무용교과의 개정은 무용교육과정 자체에 관한 구조와 학습절차상의 고려가 필요하다.;Ⅰ. Purpose Few of studies, when viewed in terms of curriculum development, was done and can be found about the dance curriculum in the junior high school in Korea. And fewer studies was done concerning with the content analysis of dance unit of physical education textbook, which is assumed to be based upon the Junior High School Curriculum by the Ministry of Education. The purpose of the study was mainly focused upon investigating the degree of consensus between the dance unit of physical education textbook for girls in the junior high school and the Junior High School Curriculum specified by the Ministry of Education, and identifying the characteristic traits of dance unit. More specifically, the study was intended to investigate the following two specific problems: 1. Is the dance unit of physical education textbook for girls in the junior high school based upon the Curriculum by the Ministry of Education? 2. What are the characteristic features of dance unit in terms of curriculum structure? Ⅱ. Methods For the research purpose defined, the content analysis method was utilized, with the dance unit taken as object for analysis. The criteria for analysing dance unit were 1) Junior High School Curriculum itself, and 2) the general criteria for task analysis, which is a method of identifying, and sequencing the learning structure. Word and sentence were used as the unit of analysis for each four criteria, that is, 1) terms about dance, 2) concepts about dance 3) laws and principles concerning dnace, 4) knowledge and skill concerning the process and procedure of dance, of which the theoretical foundation is based upon survey of literature. Ⅲ. Results and discussions Results obtained from the analysis of dance unit were summarized as follow: 1. Distinctive disagreement of the content was found between the dance unit of textbook and the specified Curriculum of the Ministry of Education: 2. The content of dance unit was found to be mostly centered around the terms and concepts of dance. 3. The category of folk dance in the dance unit consisted mainly of the dance terms and concepts of dance. 4. The domain of creative dance in the dance unit was comprised around two criteria, that is, laws and principles of dance and knowledge and skills about the process and procedure of dance. The results described above, however, formed a remarkable contrast to the dance curriculum theory proposed by Bucher and Fernun. Bucher suggested that the effective dance teaching requires a study of such areas the scientific principles of body movenent; an understanding of dance forms, dance composition, and techique; skills of natation; theories relating to costumes, staging, and lighting; and also a good grounding in the scientific foundations physical education and a sound general education. And Ferdun suggested the fundametal dance cycle as forming dances, dancing, appreciating, and relating (synthesizing) in dance curriculum planning. Based upon the results and discussions mentioned above, some recommendation for future study was derived as following: 1. Dance curriculum planning, primarily viewed in terms of textbook, should be based upon the Curriculum promulgated by the Ministry of Education. 2. Curriculum planning for dance should be based upon the structure of knowledge of dance, considering learning structure and hierachies. 3. In the future study analysing content structure of dance unit in physical education textbook, consideration should be given to constructing the effective and valid criteria for content analysis, taking account of the structural characteristics of dance curriculum itself.
