천연 재료를 소재로 한 자연 이미지 표현 연구

Abstract

초목은 흙에서 왔다가 흙으로 돌아간다. 그러나 사실 초목은 항상 흙과 하나이다. 생태학적 세계관에서는 자연 환경을 유기적으로 얽힌 거대한 단 하나의 생명체로 본다. 여기서 자연의 현존은 지속적이며 삶과 죽음의 조화로 받아들여진다. 따라서 생태학적 세계관은 자연 존중 태도를 휘하며 궁극적으로 자연과의 융합을 추구한다. 이러한 생태학적 세계관을 바탕으로 천연 재료를 소재로 하여 나무의 생성, 성장, 소멸 등 다양한 현상을 통해 자연의 이미지를 표현하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 내용은 생태학적 관점에서 천연의 자연 재료로 나무의 다양한 형상을 형상화하여 자연의 이미지를 표현하였다. 그리고 이론적 배경으로 생태학적 세계관을 통해 본 동양의 자연관을 제시하였다. 작품의 표현 방법은 표현 내용에 따라 모색되었으며, 작품 7점은 아래와 같은 방법으로 제작되었다. 나무의 생성, 성장, 소멸의 다양한 현상을 표현하기 위해 관조적인 입장에서 자연의 나무줄기의 유동적인 흐름을 따르면서 전체적인 외형을 단순, 강조, 변형하였다. 다양한 선의 반복을 통한 질감의 효과를 이용하였으며, 유동적인 곡선으로 운동감을 강조하여 유기적 형태로 표현되었다. 그리고 재료로서는 생태학적 관점으로 자연에서 발견된 다양한 형태의 나무와 천연 소재인 실, 천, 자연 염료 등을 사용하였다. 제작된 작품 7점은 이론적 배경, 표현 내용, 재료 및 방법에 근거하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 생태학적 세계관을 토대로 한 천연의 자연재료 사용과 그 자연적 형태의 최대한 활용으로 자연의 유기적 이미지를 표현하였다. 둘째, 나뭇가지를 잘게 끊어 붙임으로써 나타나는 질감의 반복적 효과로 자연의 율동적 이미지를 표현하였다. 셋째, 자연 염료와 재료 자체가 지닌 물질의 색으로 표현된 자연적인 색감은 변화와 조화를 이루어 자연의 유기적 이미지를 표출하였다. ;We often say that trees and grass come from earth and go back earth. The way of expressing the image was pursued according to the content of the works. The 7 works which were made by a subjective method of expression were analyzed. The various appearanced of tree were expressed from the contemplative standpoint and manifested through the repetition of various lines by simplifying. emphasizing and changing the whole outline. The following are the findings of this study.
