J. Brahms의 피아노를 위한 변주곡에 관한 연구분석

Abstract

Brahms는 19C 독일 작곡가로서 Beethoven이 보여주었던 낭만정신의 경지와 고전음악의 정신을 계승하였다. 특히 변주곡은 그가 남긴 작품중에서 뛰어난 음악성을 찾아 볼 수 있다. 작품기법에 있어서 조, 강약, 속도에서 시율, 음의 구성, 리듬에 이르기까지 여러 가지 면을 충분히 활용하고 있다. 그가 남긴 피아노를 위한 변주곡은 모두 6곡인데 이중에서 삼곡(Op.24,Op.35-1,Op35-2)을 연구 분석하여 Brahms의 작품기법에 대한 이해와 사상을 이해하는 데 도움이 되고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하면, 1. 조, 화성, 박자는 전통적인 음악을 계승하고 있으며 새로운 의도는 발견할 수가 없다. 2. 속도, 강약의 변화는 빈번하나 어떤 일정한 규칙은 없다. 3. 주체구성에 있어서 전통적인 변주곡과 별 다른 점이 없고, 다른 작곡가의 주제를 Handel, Schuman, Paganini 주제를 인용하여 변주하였고, 자작의 주제는 한 곡이고, Hungrian 민요주제는 한곡이다. 4. 주요선율은 단절변주의 기법을 충분히 활용하여 연속변주의 기법도 사용했다. 각각의 곡마다 개성이 있으나 주제의 선율에 준하고 있는 반면, 전혀 새로운 선율이 나타나서 변주곡을 이끌어 나가기도 한다. 5. 리듬형태는 다양한 변화를 갖고 있으며 아주 간단한 리듬 형태에서부터 변주해가는 Brahms의 작곡기법은 곡 하나하나마다 정성들인 것을 알 수 있다. 6. 음악관계에 있어서 Brahms는 피아노 건반에 폭 넓은 음역을 사용하고 있다. 7. 화성적 기법과 대위법적 기법의 사용은 대위법적 기법에 더 큰 비중을 두고 있다.;J. In view of his method of composition he used wide - spread materials such as key, dynamics, tempo, melody, texture, rhythm, etc. Among all his six variations for piano, three of them (op.24, op.35-1, op.35-2) are selected for the investigation and analysis to help understand his method of composition and thought. Results of this study are 1. Key, harmony and time inherits what the traditional music contains, and any new intentions can not be found. 2. The change of tempo and dynamics are frequent, but there is no regulations. 3. In comparison to that of traditional music, they differ little in texture. He quoted themes from three works of other composers in his variations. 4. Techniques of the sectional variations and continuous variations are used in his melody Each set follows after the melody of the theme, though having its own character. In another sense, a new melody happens to appear and lead the variations. 5. Type of rhythm has various changes. We can find that the Brahms's composing technique, the simple rhythm is developted to vary, is his each works with his utmost sincerity. 6. In the relations of compass, Brahms used extensive compass in Keyboard. 7. He used the method of harmony and counterpoint, this took more gravity.
