성악곡에 있어서의 말붙임의 비교연구

Abstract

The words in western vocal musics are different from those tn Korean songs. The purpose of this thesis is to find the musical difference from these different words. I want to find presence or absence of words' coincidence with songs in the English hymnal, the translated hymn, Korean songs, and Korean ""pansori""s through analysis, comparison and generalized critique. The difference between western musics and Korean songs seems to be derived from the difference between western words and Korean ones, words of the English hymnal nearly accord with the songs but those of the translated hymnal have low accordance rates. We can't conclude that many phrases with reversed intonation to tunes in translated hymns are only due to translation of English to Korean, because texts largely dissord with tunes in Korean songs oomposited by western methods. On the contrary, in ""pansori""s, texts highly accord with tunes, the adverbs interjections?onametopoeic words?mimetic words are appropriately expressed in tunes, and termination methods of songs with descending or unison sound intervals agree with natural cessation methods of our words. So we need adequate composition methods which can properly use Korean words, and it is necessary to study how to use our words in songs. The present composition methods are theoretical systems established with western civilization backgrounds, so we must make these our own ones and next apply these to our words. To do this it is better to analyse relations of words and tunes in ""pansori""s and bring these results info practice. This will become the base of our own songs in the future.;西洋聲樂曲과 韓國聲樂曲은 각각 그 歌詞의 성격이 다르다. 이 다른 歌詞에서 오는 음악적인 차이점 여부에 대해 알아보고자 함이 본 연구의 목적이다. 그 연구방법으로, 讚頌歌集에 있어서 그 歌詞가 英文으로 된 것과 이를 번역한 讚頌歌·韓國歌曲·판소리에서 가사와 곡조의 관계를 분석·비교연구·종합비판하여 歌詞와 曲調의 일치성 여부를 찾아보았다. 洋樂과 國樂의 차이는 결국 서양말과 우리말의 차이에서 오는 것인데, 英語讚頌歌에선 영어가사의 억양이 곡의 강약과 거의 일치하지만 飜譯讚頌歌에선 가사와 곡조가 굉장한 불일치의 관계를 보이고 있는데, 이는 언어구조가 다른 영어를 한국어로 번역했기 때문에 이런 曲에 대한 顚倒된 억양이 많다고만 단정할 수 없는 것은 서양적인 수법으로 作曲된 韓國歌曲에서도 가사와 곡이 상당히 불일치한 점으로 미루어 알 수 있다. 반면 판소리에선 가사를 文脈 그대로 소리내므로 가사가 곡조에 잘 맞고, 擬聲語·擬態語·감탄사·부사 등의 자연스런 말들이 곡에 잘 붙어 言外의 의미까지 나타내고 있으며, 樂節의 下行·同度終止가 우리말 歌詞의 다위 句節의 자연스런 끝맺음과 잘 일치하고 있다. 따라서 우리말 歌詞에 의한 적절한 작곡의 연구가 필요하고 우리말을 살리기 위한 국문학자와의 공동연주도 요청된다. 現在의 作曲法은 서양의 언어와 문화적인 배경에서 수립된 이론체계이므로 이를 소화하여 우리말에 잘 適用시켜야겠는데. 판소리에서의 가사와 곡조의 관계를 분석해서 應用함이 좋을 것 같으며, 이것이 더 發展되어 韓國的 音樂의 토대가 될 것이다.
