한국매집과 macrame에 관한 비교연구

Abstract

물질문화는 정신문화의 유형화라고 볼 수 있다. 그러므로 우리는 이 물질문화에서 그 새대의 다양한 특색을 볼 수 있는 것이다. 그리고 어느 나라 어느 민족이든 그들 생활 속에는 제나름대로 상징적이며 전통적인 고유한 매듭이 있다. 유려한 선으로 맺어지는 매듭은 예부터 인간생활에 있어 유용하게 사용되어 왔다. 특히 원시인류가 생활의 필요에 따라 고안해 낸 작업용으로부터 비롯되어 의식용, 장식용, 공업용으로 발전하게 되었다. 이렇게 사용되어온 매듭에 있어 우리 전승매집은 소외 속에서 기능을 잃고 망각되어 가고 있는 것은 다음과 같은 이유 때문인 것이다. 첫째, 매집을 맺고 조이는 제작과정에서 정교한 기술을 요하기 때문에 장인들에 의하여 전승되어 대중화 되지 않고 있다. 둘째, 매집의 재료에 있어서는 여성들에 의하여 사용되는 장식적인 것이기에 탄력성이 있으며 질감이 좋은 명주실이 주로 많았다. 셋째, 매듭의 초기에는 동? 서양이 같이 전해왔지만 전승매집은 형의 변화보다 기술의 전승에 치우쳤기 때문에 오늘에 까지도 주체가 아닌 종속적으로 사용되고 있다. 넷째, 색채 또한 매집의 주체가 되는 물건에 따라 결정될 수 있기에 그리 다양하지 못한 점이 있다. 그러나 전승매집은 여성들의 기타 기물의 장식품으로 고유하게 사용되는 것에 많이 쓰이므로 섬세하고 정교하며 청초하고 미적 감각이 충만하여 우아함을 지니고 있어 수공예품으로서의 한 분야를 이루고 있다. 반면, MACRAME는 첫째, 맺고 조이는 작업방법이 용이하여 일반화 되기가 쉽다. 둘째, 재료가 면사, 명주실, 인견사, 황마, 사이살마, 마니라마, 나이론, 오을론, 린넨, 모, 캐시미어 등과 같이 다양하여 손쉽게 구할 수 있다. 셋째, 색채는 MACRAME 자체가 주체적 역할을 하므로 다양하게 색을 선택할 수 있다. 넷째, 기본적 형태를 제작자의 개성에 따라 다양하게 변형시킬 수 있어 조형적인 면을 볼 수 있다. 그러므로 앞으로 전승매집의 특성을 살리면서 전승매집에 MACRAME의 장점을 가미시켜, 독립된 기능, 조형성 있는 장식으로 승화시킬 수 있도록 체계화 되어야 게TEk. 따라서 우리의 보다 나은 생활문화의 재창조를 위하여 새로운 매집의 모색이 바람직하다고 생각된다.;The material culture can be seen as from existence of mental culture. therefore we can see various special characteristics of its era in -this material culture. Fourth, the colour is decided according to factor of becom-ing master body, therefore it is not various. Fifth, No possibillity of various changing forms based upon with the traditional form of the knot. On the other hand, Macrame, First, it can be generalized as it is easy to manufacture in combining and joint. Second, The materials are various such as cotton, silk thresd, Rayon, Jute, Manila, Nylon, Olon, Linnen, Wool, Cashimere and so on, and it is easy to obtain. Third, The color is thing to become master body, Macrame can be able to select various kind of color. Fourth, According to personality of the manufacturers, the basic forms can be changed variously which can be seen the asp-hect of making forms. Therefore, Putting the merit of Macrame, it can be alive with the characteristics of Maedup and must be systematized. for promotion as independent function, ornament art. It can be considered to lead abundent and. beautiful life culture. Therefore newly seeking for the knot for recreation of life culture must be laid stress on.
