Abstract

Here in Korea, it is transition period in which piano is substitued for organ that is usued to be played in the church as musical instrument. But to our surprise, we find there are lots of theater Organs in the church. It is resulted from our misunderstanding that all the organs would be available in the church. The purpose of this essay is to help people understand better church-organ by throwing light on various aspects of them and to emphasize the necessity of improving them. First, I have studied for the meaning of worship and the situation for organ in it. Second, I have studied for a organ's history, structure, and its mechanism, they were divided into pipe organ and electric organ. Third, I have studied for the problems from the research of organ which were used at Korean churches, for the time being, in particular in Seoul, Pusan Taejon, and Kangnung districts.;현재 한국교회는 예배에 사용하는 악기가 Piano에서 Organ으로 대치되는 과도기에 있다. 그런데 지금까지 설치된 Organ을 보면 놀라울 정도로 경음악용 Organ이 많다. 이는 Organ이면 다 교회의식에 맞는 악기인줄 잘못 인식된 결과인 듯 하다. 그래서 본 연구는 하나님을 찬양하는 교회의식에 맞는 교회용 Organ에 대한 인식을 새롭게하기 위하여 첫째, 예배학적인 면에서 예배의 의미를 연구해보고 그 예배에서의 Organ의 위치를 찾아보았다. 둘째, 예배에서 무엇보다 중요한 Organ의 역사와 그 구조를 Pipe Organ과 전기 Organ으로 나누어 연구하였다. 셋째, 서울, 부산, 대전, 강릉지방을 중심으로 현재 교회에서 사용되고 있는 Organ을 조사하여 얻어진 문제점들을 살펴 보았다.
