벽 없는 미로

Abstract

Art is the way of life and one of values for me. In other words, I have found out the characteristics of every person throughout art. There is not same the feature of life, but an individual thing which is the point where I meet art. It is just like the journey without the beginning and the end. When I have attended to someone's voice or I have got other's experiences, then I could concentrated on that things how would be connected with me. Therefore, I could extended thoughts into the another field which was not included my routine life. And I could not separated with the other person and the world. On this account, there are endless stories in layers of time. I think that the work of art is the continuous movement to new directions of coincident thinking and meeting. There are complex cubic contents what I am close to everything in the world not even minute particles. This thinking is why I should keep the open mind with a variety of sides. Throughout this thesis, I am expected to reorganize my changes in time and tide. And also I seem to look into my works of art which are flowing of alteration based on my thoughts. This process let me get the extension of thoughts progressively. This thesis starts to explain the concept of time of recognition on my idea. Then I make an approach some points between time and past and memory. Because I think that time is in connection with private experiences intimately. Accordingly, I refer to the philosophical concept of Henri Bergson and he says time is as the inner experience, it is named 'duree(continuance)'. I would like to describe my artistic thoughts stand on the basis of time in the Bergsonism. And also I refer to some expressions and access in the literature which I have kept eyes on. In this way, I make an effort to interpret the idea of connections between time of the inner experience and the open mind. The reason of this point is to face up myself internally, then I became faced with the other people and the external world. Finally, I seem to describe the movement, narrations and the labyrinth from the philosophical concept and my artistic thoughts over all. I think there is no transcendental values in time. And there are streamed a diversity and a variety of ways from this changes. So I seem to think that a person's narration is becoming never ending story. I understand that the construct of the labyrinth reflects visible and invisible things which are exercising themselves in disruption. I could not find out to explain my process of works clearly. Because everything in the world is moving and changing to me. So that, this thesis is not put together for bringing my thoughts and artistic thinking to perfection. I would like to show some sections of my works which related in time of the inner experience, like as thin marks on paper had folded then unfolded. And passing through this approach, I seem to focus on every change and potential movements in the future, and the connection with the present time. So I would be able to get my attitude more expansion, and this process made me many-sided. I think that I would be lost in the construct of the labyrinth and I would be in the times of the disruption and dissolution occasionally. I am sure that the point where I could meet the world and art which is entirely different.;본인에게 예술이란 삶의 방식이며, 하나의 가치관이다. 즉, 예술이라는 방식을 통해 본인을 포함한 개인들의 개별성을 바라보고 발견해 나가는 것이다. 똑같은 경로의 삶이 아니라 다른 방향을 향해 나아가려는 지속적인 움직임과 시선을 통해서 본인은 예술과 만난다. 이것은 마치 시작과 끝이 없는 여행처럼 다가온다. 타인의 목소리를 들으면서, 또는 다른 경험들을 접하게 되면서 그것들이 본인에게 어떠한 영향을 주며, 관계를 이루고 있는지 보고자 하였다. 이러한 관계로 인해 본인이 접하는 일상적인 삶과는 조금 다른 생각들이 새로운 방향으로 퍼져 나갔다. 그것은 타인과 세계와 분리될 수 없는 것들이었다. 그렇기 때문에 시작과 끝이 없는 여행이 되는 것이며, 시간의 모든 장면들은 설명될 수 없는 무한한 이야기들을 담고 있는 것이다. 삶과 사유의 범위를 결정지을 수 없는 것과 같이 본인에게 있어 작업 행위는 끊임없이 바깥으로 나아가려는 움직임이며, 예상하지 못하는 우연한 만남들로 이루어진다. 본인이 마주하는 세계의 모든 것들은 평면적인 것이 아니라 매우 작은 면들로 이루어진 복잡한 입체들이다. 이 모든 면들을 일차원적인 기준으로 판단하지 않기 위해서는 다양한 층위를 가진 열려있는 태도가 필요하다고 생각한다. 본 논문을 통하여 시간과 경험에 따른 본인의 변화들을 잘게 해체하여 새롭게 배열하고 있다. 또한 이러한 사유를 바탕으로 하여 본인의 작업 행위와 작품이 고정되어 있지 않고 이동하는 움직임을 살펴보고 있다. 그리고 이러한 과정은 위에서 언급하고 있는 열린 태도로 나아가고자 함이다. 본 논문은 본인이 인식하고 있는 시간의 흐름에서부터 시작하고 있다. 그리고 이러한 시간 속에서 과거와 기억이란 어떠한 의미를 가지고 있는지 접근한다. 왜냐하면 시간이란 개인적인 경험과 밀접한 관련성을 가지고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 본인의 개인적인 시간에 대한 설명은 베르그송의 내적 경험의 시간으로서 ‘지속’을 인용하며 풀어나가고 있다. 그의 철학적이고도 개념적인 기반을 바탕으로 본인의 예술적 사고를 보다 긴밀하게 언어화하고자 하였다. 그리고 또한 본인이 주목하는 문학에서 다양한 표현과 접근법을 참고하고 있다. 이러한 개인적인 시간을 바탕으로 바깥, 외부로 향하는 시선을 관계로서 설명하고 있다. 이것은 본인이 스스로를 알기 위해서 내면으로 들어가면 들어갈수록 만나게 되었던 것이 타인과 세계와의 경험을 기반으로 하고 있다. 그리고 이러한 개념들 위에서 만들어진 본인의 예술적 사고를 움직임과 이야기, 그리고 미로라는 단어로 설명한다. 모든 것은 끊임없는 변화를 만들어 내고, 영향을 주고받으며, 서로를 움직이게 만든다. 그리고 이러한 관계는 다양한 시선을 생성하고 그로 인해서 끝이 없는 이야기가 나타나는 것이다. 지속적으로 분열되고 해체되는 시간들은 보다 복잡한 구조를 이루게 되면서 새로운 차원의 시간인 미로를 탄생시켰다. 세계는 지속적으로 분할하고 이로써 비가시적인 사유들도 미로의 구조 속에 투영될 수 있었다. 이처럼 본인의 작업 행위와 작품도 쉽고 간단하게 설명할 수 없었다. 매 순간마다 정확한 위치를 파악할 수 없는 기억으로부터 변화의 움직임이 흘러나오기 때문이다. 따라서 본 논문은 개념의 완성을 목적으로 하거나 명확한 맥락을 결정하고자 함이 아닐 것이다. 마치 한번 접혀졌다가 펴진 페이지의 가는 선처럼, 시간의 흐름과 그것을 통해 다가가는 본인의 예술 행위의 단면을 보여주는 것이다. 그리고 이러한 접근을 통하여 본인은 앞으로 다가올 미래의 변화와 흐름을 바라보고, 현재와의 새로운 만남에 주목할 수 있는 태도를 보다 견고하게 다질 수 있었다. 이러한 과정은 본인에게 있어 끊임없이 길을 잃고 혼란에 빠지는 시간이 될 것이다. 그리고 바로 그 곳에서 입체적이고도 다층적인 세계와 예술을 만날 수 있으리라 생각한다.
