초현실주의 조각에 나타난 Eroticism연구

Abstract

In the study, it is looked into how eroticism in surrealism has been expressed. The importance of this study lies in the fact that surreal ism emphasizes the liberation of unconsciousness and that sex is the most fundamental instinct of human beigns and belongs to unconsciousness. The purpose of this study is to analyze eroticism in the surrealistic sculptures and to suggest their characteristics. The second chapter discusses the theoretical backgrounds not only to explore the historical situations and meanings of surrealism but also to study the ideological aspects of surrealistic works and also the eroticisms both in arts history and surrealism, consisting of A) The development and definition of surrealism, B) The characteristics of surrealistic works, C) The position of eroticism in the arts history, and D) The eroticism in surrealism. The third chapter shows the analysis of eroticism in surrealistic sculptures in terms of their A) contents and B) methodology and their characteristics. For the study related literatures and art magazines are studied in advance and present works are selected to be used as basic tools. To determine works for the study, surrealistic sculptures have been investigated and then 55 works with strong erotic expression are selected. The ideologies of those works are analyzed only in terms of their eroticism in order to discover the characteristics of their eroticism. The results of the study are as follows: A. Contents 1. The eroticism shown by surrealistic sculptures tends to have sadism by complex. 2. Sadisms in the works are expressed with following characteristics. a. Basically, shock therapy 1ike katharsis. b. Dual meanings, one meaning in which another meaning exists. c. Anxiety. Such sadism is not satisfied, but results from impatience for possible failure, and d. Violation and aggressiveness. B. Methodology 1 . Painting and sculpture exist together. 2. They are expressed in dual images, invisible movement due to inner desire, or fantastic objects which do not exist in practice but seem to do 3. They are expressed in symbolic objects as the symbol of sex including the ruggedness effect. 4. They are expressed as ready-made works each of which, as one of objects, changes the most materialistic thing into a spiritual one.;S. Freud가 욕망은 인간의 숨은 원동력이라고 하였던 것 처럼 인간의 원초적 본능에 속하는 성은 그 표현에 있어서 선사시대로부터 현재에 이르기 까지 미술에서 복합적인 양상과 변형된 motive로 나타나고 있으며 정신사로써의 미술사, 또는 사회학, 현상학적 방법론에 근거한 미술사가들의 연구의 주요한 테마이기도 하다. 본 연구에서는 eroticism이 초현실주의에서는 어떤 형태로 표현되었는지 연구하였으며 그 필요성은 초현실주의는 무의식의 해방에 그 중요성이 있고 성은 인간에게 있어서 가장 원초적인 본능이며 무의식에 속한다는데 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 초현실주의 조각에 나타난 eroticism을 분석하여 그 특성을 규명하는데 있다. 본 연구의 내용은 Ⅱ장 이론적 배경을 A. 초현실주의의 전개와 정의 B. 초현실주의 작품의 특성 C. 미술사에서의 Eroticism D. 초현실주의에서의 Eroticism으로 나누어 초현실주의의 시대적 상황과 그 의의를 알아 보고, 초현실주의 작품을 이념적 측면에서 살펴 보았으며, 미술사에서의 eroticism과 초현실주의에서의 eroticism의 의미를 알아 보았다. Ⅲ장 초현실주의 조각에 나타난 Eroticism에서는 A. 내용적인 면 B. 방법적인 면으로 나누어 분석하여 그 특성을 규명하였다. 본 연구의 방법은 문헌, 미술잡지 등의 선행연구와 작품을 기본도구로 하였다. 작품표집은 초현실주의 조각에 나타난 eroticism의 특성을 분석하기 위하여 초현실주의 작품중에서 erotic한 경향이 강한 작품으로 55점을 대상으로 목적표출하였다. 자료처리는 초현실주의 조각에 나타난 eroticism의 특성을 규명하기 위하여 초현실주의 작품의 이념을 eroticism에 한정하여 분석 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. A. 내용적인 면 1. 초현실주의 조각에 나타난 eroticism은 complex에 의한 sadism의 성격을 갖는다. 2. sadism은 다음과 같은 특성으로 표현되었다. a. katharsis적인 충격요법에 근간을 두고 있다. b. 한 의미 속에 또 다른 의미를 지니는 이중적 의미를 갖는다. c. 불안의 감정을 갖는다. 그것은 만족스러운 것이 아니라 실패에 대한 초조한 의식에 의해 생긴다. d. 폭력적이며 공격적이다. B. 방법적인 면 1. 회화와 조각이 혼합되어 있다. 2. 이중적 image, 내적 욕망에 의한 비가시적 운동감, 실제로는 존재하지 않으나 존재하는 것과 같은 환영적 object로 표현되었다. 3. 요철에 의한 효과를 포함하여 성의 상징으로써의 형태인 상징적 object로 표현되었다. 4. object의 하나로써 가장 물질적인 사물을 정신의 사물로 만드는 레디 메이드로 표현되었다.
