內外制的 統制와 道德的 判斷力間의 關係

Abstract

본 연구에서는 個人이 행동에 대한 강화의 책임을 어디에 두는가에 관한 統制所在 變因과, 행동의 판단 근거를 어디에 두는가에 관한 道德的 判斷 能力에 관해 알아보고자 하였다. 統制所在에서의 內制性은 因果性과 관계되며, 道德的 판단력도 인지 발달 구성 槪念의 일부로서 인과적인 側面에서 볼 수 있다. 그러므로 內制性과 道德的 판단력은 서로 상관된다고 가정해 볼 수 있는 것이다. 여기서는 內制性과 道德的 판단에서의 意圖性의 발달 과정과 두 변인간의 상관 관계를 알아봄으로써 아동의 발달을 또 하나의 새로운 側面에서 이해하려는 것이다. 본 연구에서 알아보고자 하는 문제는 구체적으로 다음과 같다. 1. 統制所在에서의 內制性은 性別·學年別로 차이가 있는가? 2. 道德的 判斷을 할 때의 意圖性의 사용 비중은 性別·學年別로 차이가 있는가? 3. 道德的 판단의 각 수준(의도×결과)별 反應은 學年別로 차이가 있는가? 4. 內制性과 意圖性은 상관 관계가 있는가? 즉, 내제적 통제인 사람이 道德的 판단 수준도 높은가? 이상의 문제들을 알아보기 위하여 표집은 구체적 조작기에 해당하는 국민학교 3. 5학년과 중학교 1학년을 대상으로 하였으며 학생수는 278명이었다. 검사 방법은 그들에게 內外統制 尺度와 道德的 判斷力 尺度를 실시하였다. 內外統制 尺度는 Nowicki & Duke (1974)가 제작한 질문지를 번안, 수정하였으며, 道德的 판단력 尺度는 Piaget와 Hebble의 實驗 方法을 기초로 하여 연구자가 4단계 평정 尺度로 제작하였다. 한편, 점수의 계산은 내외통제 尺度는 내제성 방향에 反應한 數를 점수로 하고, 道德的 판단력은 의도 판단 지수(IJQ)라는 공식에 의거하였다. 검증 방법으로는 內制性과 意圖性의 性別, 學年別 발달 狀況을 알아보기 위해서는 변량분석을 실시하였으며 또 평균의 차이에 대한 CR검증을 했다. 그리고 두 변인의 상관관계를 알아보기 위해서는 Pearson의 적률상관계수를 내고 그 유의도를 검증 하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 밝혀진 내용은 다음과 같다. 1. 아동의 統制所在는 학년이 올라감에 따라 內制性的 傾向을 나타내며 특히 3∼5학년 사이에 급격한 變化를 보인다. 그러나 性別로는 차이가 없다. 2. 아동이 道德的 판단을 할 때 행동의 의도를 고려한 비중이 學年이 올라감에 따라 많아진다. 이것도 3∼5학년 사이에 급격한 變化를 보이며 5학년 이후에는 별 차이가 없는 것으로 보아 그 이후에는 자율적 판단을 하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 3. 내제성과 의도성간에는 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타난 내제적인 사람이 道德的 판단 수준도 높다고 볼 수 있다.;The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between locus of control and moral judgment in children. Rotter said that internality is propably related to a person's view of causality, and moral judgment is a cognitive developmental construct that reflects certain aspects of the development of causality in children, too. So, these two variables are constructs which invlove some understanding of causality, and we can expect these are correlated in children. To Know the developmental trends of internality and the intentionality of moral judgment is of much help to understand the development of child in a new point of view. Specifically this study tried to answer the following questions. 1. Is there any difference in locus of control with age and sax? that is, does the internality develop as the child grows older? 2. Is there any difference in moral judgment with age and sex? Does the use of intentionalitv increase with age? 3. Is there any difference among the levels of intent x conseouence in moral judgment? 4. Is the internality covelated to the intentionality? To test these problems, 278 students are sampled, and they are 3rd. 5th grade children and first year of middle school. The scales used in this study is locus of control scale and moral judgment scale. Locus of control scale was primarily made by Nowicki & Duke and has been translated by researcher, and is scored in terms of the total number of responses in the direction of internal control. Moral judgment scale is made by researcher and is scored by intent judgment quotient. The scores of moral judgment and those of locus of control were respectively submitted to an analysis of variance for grade and sex. And pearson product-moment. correlations coefficient were computed between internality and intentionality. The results seem to justify the following conclusions. 1. There is a strong correlation for grade level in the direction of increased internality with age, especially 3rd-5th grade, but there is no sex difference in internality. 2. There is a strong correlation for grade level in the direction of increased intentionality with age, especially 3rd-5th grade, but there is no sex difference. 3. There is a low correlation between internality and intentionalitym, but both constructs appear to correlate more significantly with age.
