생명감의 회화적 표현을 위한 연구

Abstract

Abstract-Expressionism began immediately after World War Ⅱ and it has been accepted around the world since then. The characteristics of the expression which include the Action Painting in America and the Informal in Europe are meditativeness, informality, dynamic vitality and space, which seem to have deep relation with the characteristics of Oriental Art. I used black inclined lines employing hard materials to express immutable internal will of life through the image of nature, divided the space with contrasting colors to emphasize inclination of lines and used colored-lines to harmonize with the division of space. I compared my work with those of Abstract-Expressionism in content by studying the vitality of Abstract-Expressionist, in methodology studying intuitiveness expressed in their Art.;추상표현주의 예술은 2차대전 직후에 시작되어 현재까지 전세계적으로 받아들여지는 추세에 있으며, 정력적이고 행위적인 것이 그 예술의 특징으로 思料된다. 미국의 액션 페인팅(Action Painting)과 유럽의 앙포르멜(Informel)을 포함하는 이 예술의 특성은 默想的, 非定形的이며 다이나믹한 생명감 내지는 공간성이라 할 수 있는데 이는 동양예술의 특성과 ??은 관계가 있음을 알 수 있다. 본인은 인간내부의 꺾일 줄 모르는 생명의지를 자연의 이미지(image)를 빌어 표현하고자 단단한 재료에 의한 검은색의 사선을 主된 표현방법으로 썼고 선의 방향성을 강조하기 위하여 한 화면에서 보색에 가까운 색으로 면을 단순하게 분할하였고, 면 분할과 어울리는 색선을 사용하였다. 내용적인 면에서는 추상표현주의 작가들의 생명감을, 방법적인 면에서는 그들의 예술성과 조형성에 나타난 直觀性을 고찰함으로써 본인의 작품과 비교하였다.
