短期治療接近法의 效果과 그 適用에 관한 硏究

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find a more suitable treatment method in the casework field of Korea to provide needed individuals and families with much more effective and systematic casework service. For this study, the author carried out the theoretical consideration on planned short-term treatment approach and case study. The applied range of cases was limited to the young in Research Institute of Juvenile Delinquency and Mental Health Center in Seoul. The result of case studies proved that planned short-term treatment could be effectively applied to above two agencies. Also, the author presented family agencies, out-patient psychiatric services, psychiatric emergency services, other emergency services under nonmedical auspices, such as suicide prevention center's, medical social 1iork settings and public welfare agencies etc as the target population for short-term treatment. And the author suggested that long-term treatment and shortterm treatment be used together to provide more effective services of casework in Korea, and particularly be given more weight in the latter. The following elements are expected to validate the above suggestion. First, casework in Korea has had a short history, so long-term treatment is not now in a firm position and it also shows resistant aspects in the application to the practice. Second, casework in Korea is characterized as being helpful for the poor, and a temporary crisis interventional. Third, Koreans seem less reluctant and more acceptable to be treated by short-term treatment than by long-term treatment. Forth, with regard to the economical and social condition in Korea, brief and intensive short-term treatment is more suitable to the practice than long-term treatment which needs much expense and time. Fifth, the delivery system of casework services in Korea is not sufficient, so long-term treatment which needs a lot of personnel and time is an expensive service method in this country. Therefore, short-term treatment is more suitable because it can provide the casework service to more clients with less personnel and facilities. Sixth, if the effect of short-term treatment is accepted by clients of Korea, a small charge can be made for the service and it would be helpful to alliviate the fund problem of social work agency. Therefore, it is believed that the utilization of planned short-term treatment Approach in Casework of Korea provides more effective and systematic services to the practice field.;국 영문초록 수록;本 論文은 워커로 하여금 時間과 目標를 意圖的으로 使用하고 적극적이며 目標指向的인 治療介入을 요구하는 計劃된 短期治療接近法이 한국의 케이스워어크 實際에 유용하게 활용될 수 있는 가능성의 여부를 살펴봄으로써 理論의 適用이 빈곤한 케이스워어크 實際에 理論的 根據를 제공하려 하였으며, 도움을 필요로 하는 個人 및 家族에게 보다 效果的인 케이스워어크 서어비스를 제공하려는데 그 目的과 意義를 두었다. 硏究方法으로는 문헌연구와 사례연구를 병행시켰으며 사례연구를 위한 기관은 소년감별소와 정신건강상담실에 제한되었고 對象도 모두 靑少年에 제한되었다. 그 適用結果는 모두 효과적인 것으로 나타났으며 또한 本 硏究者는 短期治療를 위한 標的集團으로서 가족복지기관, 정신질환자에 대한 외래 및 응급서어비스, 자살예방센타와 같은 비의료진의 후원下에 있는 응급서어비스, 의료사회사업기관 및 공공복지기관등을 제시하였다. 그리고 本 硏究者는 韓國의 狀況에서 보다 효과적인 케이스워어크 서어비스를 제공하기 위하여는 長期治療接近法에 더 큰 비중을 두어야 한다고 提案하였으며 그 타당성으로서 다음의 6가지 要素를 들었다. 첫째, 韓國의 케이스워어크 歷史는 日淺하여 長期治療形態가 완전한 자리를 잡고있지 못하고 있으며 治療適用에 있어서도 저항을 보이는 面이 있다. 둘째, 韓國의 케이스웨어크 實際는 救負的 性格이 짙으며 心理的인 面에서의 도움보다는 一時的이고 危機介入的인 도움이 더 많다. 셋째, 韓國人의 特性이 長期治療에는 큰 저항을 보이는 반면 短期治療接近法에 對하여는 저항이 적으며 도움을 쉽게 受容하는 경향을 보이고 있다. 넷째, 韓國의 社會·經濟的인 여건으로 보아 시간과 경비의 소모가 많은 長期治療接近法 보다는 간단하고 강렬한 短期治療接近法이 더 적합하다. 다섯째, 서어비스 전달체계가 부족한 韓國狀況에서 비용과 인력소모가 많은 長期治療接近法은 사치스러울 정도의 서어비스이며 오히려 短期서어비스를 통하여 적은 인력과 적은 시설로써 수혜대상자를 확대시킬 수 있다. 여섯째, 앞으로 社會事業家의 短期介入이 그 效果를 인정받음에 따라 적은 수수료를 받을 수도 있으며 이것은 사회사업기관의 자금난을 해결하는데 있어서 뿐만 아니라 사회사업가의 전문성을 높이는데에도 도움이 될 수 있다. 따라서 現在 韓國의 狀況에서 短期治療接近法이 充分히 활용된다면 보다 효과적이고 체계적인 서어비스를 제공하는데 이바지할 것으로 본다.
