- 본 硏究는 內外統制性 變因과 性別, 學業成績, 만족의 지연 간의 관계를 밝히고자 하였다. 국민학교 5학년생 남녀 99명에게 Nowicki와 Strickland(1973)의 아동용 內外統制 척도를 韓國版으로 改定한 學生用 內外統制 척도를 실시하고, 만족의 지연에 관한 實驗을 하였다. 學業成績은 4學年의 전체 성적으로 처리하였다. 內外統制 點數와 性別, 學業成績 滿足의 지연간의 관계를 검증한 結果, 內外統制 點數와 性別간에, 또한 內外統制 點數와 滿足의 지연간에 유의한 관계가 있음이 드러났다. 內外統制 點數와 學業成績 간에는 아무런 關係가 없었다.;The present study was intended to explore the relationships between internal-external control and sex, school achievement and delay of gratification.
99 subjects, consisting of boys and girls of 5th grade in primary school, participated in the present study. They were asked to take the Korean version of "Internal-External control scale for students" of Nowicki & Strickland (1973).
An experiment was attempted to measure the subjects' delay of gratification. Their delay choice was a week after' and their nondelay choice was 'today.' If they chose today, they were given a pen, and if a week after, then two pens were given.
On the basis of responses to the above variables, subjects were classfied into boys versus girls, internals versus externals, delayers versus nondelayers and low achievers, middle achievers and high achievers.
Significant association were observed between the first two dimensions and between the first and third dimension. It suggests they are interrelated.
The Internal-Esternal scale score was of no relation with school achievement.
