Abstract
;People who commute with nature accept nature itself as the root of all things, an eternal life, and a part of life. I also think that a figure of mountain is alive with my real life in the bottom of time and space. At this moment, this figure of mountain resembles closely our life and contains emptiness which has dark mystery. From a metaphysical point of view, amountain has a true picture and a monotonous figure. On the contrary, to express endless movement of the life this mountain can be a medium to bring back one's memory as well as the visual circulation of life and essential. So, this cumulative process adding time remains as permanent life and a shape of "There is the mountain" in space. On the whole a shape of "There is the mountain" includes an element of time and a concept of space. And then, the mountain at this moment has positive meaning of circulation and conquers the bottom of time and space. Therefore, it can be accepted as a deep meaning and expresses spiritual emphasis. From the view point of the meaning of nature, there is a differencebetween the Oriental and Western art. While Oriental concept of time and space discusses a spiritual and invisible dimension, Western one emphasizes a physical and material side to present significance of space. Due to this difference between Oriental and Western art, I tried to study my work via an inquire into this meaning as a basic concept. Depending on a mental and philosophical foundation which is based on "There is the mountain" or "the showing mountain", this study concentrates on an issue related to time and space which is able to express a plane delineation. Moreover, this study focuses on broad research into my painting through naturalism. Those results of this research explain not just the cumulative process for painting but an absolute ideal. In conclusion, in case of a theoretical base, this paper researched the meaning of scenery via Oriental art, Taoism, and Confucian ideas. Moreover, on a basis of 'contemplation' and 'play', this paper studied natural beauty including the basic theory of Oriental art. This paper also tried to understand the process of changes which start from the external object to the internal one through a spiritual and invisible dimension of Oriental and Western art. Furthermore, I wanted to apply this understanding to my future painting to improve my work. For expressive point, this paper made an effort to suggest a mountain through the cumulative process of flat character and simplicity. Moreover, to present inner and rotational space my work chose Chinese ink and a pencil (charcoal) which can express black color. Therefore, a figure of mountain which is very calm and natural contains a significant factor and a detail touch of stroke to express the meaning. Second, my work was eager for transmission of warm heart which is visible and invisible humanity through "There is the mountain". Finally, this study tried to find new opportunities for various colors and a lot of space over silence of a mountain. I wish that this work can be another new opportunity for the future work and valuable perception to express internal deepness
