現代 水墨畵 硏究

Abstract

'現代'라는 오늘의 時代에 相應하는 '現代水墨畵'가 成立되기 위해서는 다른 모든 藝術世界가 그렇듯이, 우선 傳統에 대한 充分한 理解를 그 基盤으로 해야 하고 오늘에 處한 狀況을 直視해야 할 것이다. 그렇게 함으로써 올바른 方向感覺을 가지고 未來를 向할수 있는 것이라 하겠다. 이러한 意識아래 本考에서는 그 史的인 文獻과 資料의 硏究를 통해 水墨畵의 傳統을 理解하고 또한 오늘날까지 水墨의 材質이 지녀온 妙味를 理論的으로 考案해 보았다. 그리하여 그 傳統의 올바른 受容과 技法上 새로운 現代的 樣式의 展開를 함께 完成하여야 하는 葛藤에 부딪친 現實의 問題點을 把握할 수 있었다. 따라서, 본인은 作品을 통하여 이러한 문제점들을 극복하기 위해서 水墨畵가 지닌 形式의 답습에서 脫皮하되 그 精神性을 잃지 않으며 새로운 造形感覺의 試圖를 加하여서 '現代水墨畵'가 가야 할 올바른 方向을 摸索하여 보았다. 作品 全般에 흐르고 있는 분위기는 自然스러운 美, 素朴하고 眞實한 아름다움에 있으며, 하나 하나의 作品마다 새로운 時角의 設定, 構圖의 變化, 際限되었던 素材에서의 脫皮, 그리고 筆線과 墨面의 自然스러운 濃艶處理에 의한 現代的 분위기 表現등 一連의 造形的 實驗을 통해 水墨畵를 現代化시켜 보았다. 東洋·西洋의 뚜렷한 區別이 없이 世界가 하나로 되어가는 오늘날, 「가장 民族的인 것이 가장 世界的이다」라는 괴테의 말처럼, '現代 水墨畵'는 적어도 그 內容인 精神性에서는 民族性을 잃지 말아야 할 것이며 그것을 바탕으로 하는 꾸준한 造形感覺的인 試圖들이 加해져야 할 것이다. '現代 水墨畵의 올바른 成立과 展開'라는 주어진 이 課題를 遂行하기 위해서, 이제까지 느꼈던 점들을 補完하고 安逸한 태도에서 安住하지 않으며 늘 새롭게 깊이를 더해가는 作業이 되도록 할 것이다.;The research on the contemporary India-ink painting corresponding to the present age should be based on the deep understanding of the tradition first like many other arts. Then it needs to see the situation we meet today correctly. They lead us to take further steps with a good sense of direction. In this thesis, I try to examine the tradition of India-ink painting and its exquisite beauty through its history. And so I find the difficult problem of establishing traditional acceptance and attempt new techniques at the same time. Henceforth, I search out the new way of contemporary India-ink painting with new formative sense, escaping from the old traditional form but keeping its originality. I intend to seek a natural, unsophisticated and genuine beauty and modernization through a series of formative experiment such as new angle of view, changed composition, diverse materials, and contemporary atmosphere using color shades. Today, the world become one and according to Goethe's saying, the most nationalistic thing would be the most universal one. Contemporary India-ink painting, likewise, should not lose at least nationalistic characters. Also continuous attempt to add the new techniques to the traditional one is necessary. To carry out the task of arranging and developing contemporary India-ink painting, I'll try to supplement the problems and continue to make a creative activity.
