假面劇에 나타난 해학의 상징적 造形化 硏究

Abstract

假面은 오랜 옛날부터 각 民族의 문화유산으로서 토착신앙과 생활환경, 시대적 상황과의 유기적인 결합으로 만들어졌다. 원시민족의 종교적 양식에서 비롯된 가면은 神器로써 Shamanism과 결부되어 神的인 신분을 나타내기 위한 수단의 도구로 시작하여 차츰 오락성을 띤 가무와 劇을 통하여 실용적인 목적으로 藝用化 되었다. 현재까지의 韓國假面에 대한 연구가 주로 민속학적, 국문학적, 측면에서 劇과 歌舞에 비친 시대적 상황의 변천 및 인물의 성격표현에 대한 연구가 실시되어 온 반면에 가면의 造形性 및 美學的인 특징에 대해서는 그 연구가 미약한 실정이다. 이러한 시점에서 本 연구는 가면의 意義와 시대적인 반영으로 나타난 특징을 통하여 민중의 情緖와 造形意識을 새로운 관점으로 재구성하였다. 이와같은 가면의 조형성을 形象化하고 작품을 제작하는 과정에서 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우리 전통예술의 하나인 가면의 조형적 특성을 통하여 가면속에 내재된 해학성과 상징적의미를 흙을 매체로 現代化하고 조형적 형태로 표현하므로써 도자의 새로운 방향을 모색하는 계기가 되었고 둘째, 물레성형을 기본으로 하고 그 위에 유토 말아올리기를 병행하여 사용하므로써 다양한 형태의 변형이 가능하며 점토를 다루는 기본능력과 조형적인 훈련이 이루어질 때 폭 넓은 조형세계를 개척 할 수 있으며 셋째, 종래의 실용주의 관념적인 도자형태에서 벗어나 순수한 조형적 예술로서의 가능성을 추구해 보았다.;Masks have been developed, as the cultural heritage of each nation, by the organic combination of aboriginal belief, circumstances of living and situation of the time. Ancient masks were used originally as the instrument to represent God's status linking with Shamanism. But later it's purpose was changed practically through sing dancing and play. Study of Korean traditional masks has mainly focused on ways of expression of heroes' character and changes of situation of a certain era which were reflected on singing, dancing and play in folklore and Korean literature side, so we need more study on the aesthetic peculiarity and the molding methods of masks. Under these circumstances, my study pursued to reform the mass-emotion and sculptural consciousness through characteristics of masks reflecting it's meaning and the era. Following conclusions are reached by this study. 1. It was a woment to grope new methods of pottery by modernization of emotion of the time which was cantained inside of masks by means of soil through the sculptural character of masks. 2. It's possible to diversity the forms by using both the wheel-throwing method and coiling. We can develop the diversified form-making only by disciplines build up on the basic ability of clay handling. 3. I tried to search for the possibility to settle up the advanced form-making art out of practical usage.
