EMS(Enterprise management system) 운영현황 분석 및 평가요소 개발

Abstract

21C를 중심으로 IT정보기술은 더욱 더 발전됨에 따라 기업에서 필요로 하는 IT관리 기술도 발전되어 왔다. 현재 대부분의 기업들은 서버운영 인력 대비 관리서버 대상 수의 증가, 관리요소의 복잡도 증가, 업무의 연속성 향상 등의 여러 가지 관리상의 문제에 직면하고 있으며 이에 능동적으로 대처하고 비즈니스의 목적에 맞게 관리가 수행되도록 구조적으로 체계화, 표준화된 통합관리 기반체계의 도입을 필요로 하고 있다. 또한 경기의 장기간 침체로 인해서 미래의 잠재가치보다는 당장의 수익성이 지나치게 강조되고, 그에 따라 IT자원에 대한 투자는 상대적으로 축소, 억제되고 있다. 기업 및 공공 조직의 IT 자원을 관리, 운영하는 데 있어서도 단순히 자원의 가용성을 높이는 수동적이고 정적인 관점으로부터 TCO(Total Cost of Ownership)를 낮추고 ROI(Return On Investment)을 극대화하는 한편, 분석적인 데이터에 기초하여 IT 자원의 성능과 서비스 레벨을 합리적으로 관리하는 것이 요구 되고 있다. 이러한 IT관리 요구에 맞추어 개별적으로 관리하던 기술들을 하나로 통합하려는 시도가 나타나는데 이를 EMS(Enterprise Management System)라 한다. 통합 관리를 구체화한 형태로써, 이전의 네트워크 또는 시스템 관점에서의 산재된 관리 방안 및 정책을 하나의 통합된 관리 방안으로 제공하게 된다. 이러한 진보로 인해서 IT 관리는 서비스/비즈니스 관점의 관리 개념을 지원할 수 있는 기반이 마련된다. 국내에서도 1990년대부터 금융, 공기업, 대기업을 중심으로 EMS 구축을 시도하고 있으며, 점점 중소기업을 대상으로 넓혀가고 있다. 본 연구에서는 EMS의 개념과 구성요소 및 운영현황을 살펴보고, 바람직한 EMS가 되기 위한 평가요소를 살펴보고자 한다. 실제로 구축되어 운영되고 있는 한 기업의 EMS 구축 현황을 사례로 EMS 구축 방법을 살펴보고 EMS 평가요소를 개발하고 평가하려고 한다. 본 연구는 EMS 평가요소에 관한 선행연구가 없기에 더욱 의미가 있으며, 이러한 평가요소는 기업이 EMS 구축을 시도하고자할 때 지침으로 활용할 수 있다. ;With advanced information technology, management technology in business has been developed. However, most of companies couldn't be free from problems such as increased servers more than expected, redundant employee in managing systems, more complicated managing factors, and low efficiency in integrating process. These days a success in business depends on efficient, standardized, and systematic approaches in information management. In spite of increased needs in it, a world-wide depression restricts investment on it. Many companies can not help using most of their resources in imminent matters under prolonged recession. Government sector also have the same problems in it. So, people require the intelligent active system, minimizing total cost of ownership, maximizing return on investment based on analyzed data and integrating management systems, in other words, Enterprise Management Systems (EMS). The thesis defined the concept and components of EMS, analyzed problems in operating systems with real sample data. The thesis focused on making up criteria of evaluating the systems. These work could be a good approach hoping a significant help in building enterprise management systems.
