도시환경 이미지 개선을 위한 오픈스페이스 디자인 연구

Abstract

오늘날의 도시환경은 1960년대 이후 계속된 급속한 도시화를 통해 급속한 인구집중과 차량의 증가로 인한 대기오염과 소음발생 등의 물리적인 환경악화에 더하여 건물의 고층화와 인구의 고밀도화에 따른 정신적인 스트레스가 발생하는 등, 더 이상 인간을 포용하는 삶의 배경으로서의 역할을 하지 못하고 단지 인간 삶의 수단을 위한 공간이 되어가고 있다. 그리하여 도시기능의 변화가 도시민의 보다 나은 삶을 위한 방향으로 전환되어야 한다는 당위성에 당면하게 되었다. 그러나 아직도 대도시 공간이용은 오픈 스페이스로서의 이용보다는 주거지역, 상업지역, 공업지역과 제반활동을 위한 장소로서 활용되는 경우가 많으며 도시의 오픈 스페이스는 효과적으로 활용되지 않고 있다. 서울은 오랜 역사를 가진 도시임에도 불구하고 근대화과정에서 도심을 무분별하게 파괴함으로써 그 결과 지금은 뚜렷한 정체성을 상실한 채 매우 혼란스러운 도시 이미지를 안고 있다. 그러므로 본 연구자는 도시환경 악화에 따른 문제점들의 영향으로 점차 심각해져 가는 도시문제를 해결하기 위한 하나의 방법으로서 오픈 스페이스 효과적인 활용을 통하여 인간에게 정서적인 만족을 줄 수 있는 환경을 제공하고 도시민의 문화적 흐름까지도 바꿀 수 있는, 고유한 자기정체성을 가진 문화예술 공간으로서의 오픈스페이스 디자인 연구를 제시해보고자 한다. 본 연구의 내용과 구성은 다음과 같다. 1. 서론에서, 본 연구가 갖는 연구의 배경과 목적을 밝히고, 문헌을 통한 이론적 고찰과, 모형 사례를 통해 진행하게 될 디자인과정의 연구 범위와 방법을 밝혔다. 2. 연구의 기본 배경으로써, 도시환경 이미지와 오픈스페이스를 고찰하였다. 가치관의 변화에 따른 문화적 개념의 도시 이미지를 바탕으로 도시 오픈스페이스의 기능과 역할, 그리고 서울시 공원현황과 문제점을 고찰하였다. 3. 마로니에 공원 지역 환경의 현황을 연구하기 위해 대상지의 역사적 배경을 조사하였고, 장소 및 장소성과 관련된 개념들을 통해 대상지의 장소성을 분석하였다. 4. 연구대상인 도시 오픈 스페이스인 마로니에공원 대상지의 환경분석과정을 거쳐 선행장들에서 도출된 개념을 기반으로 디자인 방향을 설정하였다. 장소성을 형성하는 원리 중 대상지에 적용 가능한 디자인 방안과 패턴언어를 추출하여 각 공간과 공간의 형태에 적용하였다. 5. 연구 결과를 종합, 평가하고, 연구 과정의 방법과 결과를 고찰하였다. 이와 같은 과정을 통해, 문화적 장소성을 가진 오픈 스페이스는 인간에게 다양한 행태를 지원하고 정서적 만족을 줄 수 있는 환경을 제공하고, 삶의 질을 향상 시켜 도시민의 문화적 흐름까지도 바꿀 수 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 도시 문제를 해결하는 방안의 하나로서 문화예술 공간으로서의 오픈 스페이스 디자인을 통하여 도시환경의 질적 향상과 함께 인간 삶의 질도 향상될 수 있다는 측면에서 본 연구의 의의를 둔다.;The urban environment in the modern days are turning into a place for living itself. It doesn't hold the function as background of human life. There are physical aggravation such as noise and air pollution caused by over population and increased number of transportation, mental stress from high density population. Now we have come to face the fact that the function of a city must change its direction to a better way for its citizen. But still the use of urban space is mainly used as places for fundamental acts such as habitate, commercial area and industrial area rather than usage as open space. The open space is not used effectively. Though Seoul is a city with long history, the modernizing development without enough contemplation brought chaotic image without apparent identification to the city. Therefore in this page I would like to suggest a efficient use of Open space design project as a artistic space with original identity that can change the stream of culture, that will also provide human a mental satisfaction. The structure of this study is as below. 1. In the introduction, there will be a clarification of the background, purpose of the study, theoretical contemplation through literary, boundary of deign procedure through model sample. 2. Contemplation of Open space and urban image as the background of the study. Contemplation of the function of cultural concept of urban image as the change of value. Also the present condition of parks in Seoul and its problem. 3.sudy of historical background of Marronnier park area in order to study its present condition of provincial environment. The spacial character of the place is analyzed by the concept of space. 4. The direction of the design is set on the base of concept from former spaces through environmental analysis of the subject of the study, the urban open space, Marronnier park. Appliable design scheme and pattern language were abstracted from the theories that form the spaciality. They were applied to each spacial form. 5. The result of the study were synthesized, assessed. The method of the study and its result were also contemplated. Through this procedure, we can find out that open space with cultural spaciality will change the stream of urban culture. The open space will support various kinds of attitude, provide an environment that can bring mental satisfaction. These will bring up the quality of human life. The significance of the study is on the side that open space design will bring the quality of urban environment and also the quality of human life. Eventually this will be the solution to the urban problems.
