서정성이 느껴지는 일상의 표현

Abstract

예술은 예술가 자신의 표현이다. 많은 사람들이 예술을 모방 혹은 직관, 상상과 유희, 미의 창조 등으로 설명하고 있지만 현대의 미술을 다원주의로 보는 관점에서는 더 이상 미술에서 특정한 양식은 존재하지 않는다. 예술의 본질에 대한 정의도 다양해지고 있는 이 시점에서 예술이 추구하는 바는 무엇인가? 과학의 논리와 이성적 사고와 비교해 볼 때, 예술은 작가의 주관적 감정과 기분을 표현하는 것이다. 예술적으로 뛰어난 작품은 작가가 표현한 감정을 우리가 쉽게 이해 할 수 있도록 체계화시켜 표현한 것이다. 이처럼 감정의 표현은 예술 표현에 있어 중요한 토대가 되고 있고, 이런 감정은 우리의 생활에서 일어나는 사건에서 부터 우리가 지각하는 대상을 경험하는 다양한 태도까지 포함한다. 예술의 역할은 우리의 감정을 움직이고 감동을 주는, 정서를 환기 시키는 것에 있다. 따라서 예술의 본질은 감동을 불러 일으키는 휴머니티에 있다고 할 수 있으며 그 휴머니티의 핵심인 인간 감정의 표현이야 말로 예술이 지향하는 바라고 생각한다. 본 연구에서는 주관적 감정의 표현을 나타내는 서정성의 개념이 각 예술 분야에서 어떻게 정의 내려지고 있는지 알아봄으로써 예술과 서정성과의 밀접한 관계를 짚어보고자 한다. 예술에 있어 작가들의 감정의 표현은 지금과는 다른 방법과 형식으로 표현되어 왔다. 르네상스의 태동으로 예술과 철학이'인간'에게 초점을 맞추기 시작한 이후, 낭만주의는 예술에 있어 작가의 개성과 주관적 감정의 자유롭고 풍부한 표현을 가능하게 했다. 그리하여 문학에서는 19세기 서정시, 음악에서는 낭만파 음악에서 서정성의 개념을 정의 내려보고 회화에서 서정성이 어떻게 표현되었는지 살펴봄으로써 예술에서 표현된 서정성의 개념을 정리해보았다. 이런 배경을 통해서 예술에서 서정성이 갖는 의의를 알아봄으로써 서정성의 중요성을 강조하였다. 일반적으로 서정적인 그림이 어떻다라고 정의내려진 바는 없다. 그러나 대체적으로 우리가'서정적이다'라고 말하는 그림들에서 찾아 볼 수 있는 공통의 특징을 찾아보고 서정적 그림이 주는 분위기를 여러 참고 작품을 통해서 분석해 보고 시각예술에서 서정성이 어떻게 표현될 수 있는지에 대한 정의가 필요하다는 생각이 들었다. 서정성은 작가의 감정의 표현에 의해 만들어진 어떠한 분위기이며 이 어떠한 분위기는 간접적으로 마음을 움직이고 내면에 잠재된 아련한 감정을 불러 일으켜서 그런 정서에 흡수되게 하는 것이다. 이 분위기는 색채, 형태, 질감, 구도등의 조형 요소들이 화면에 어떻게 구성되었는지 의해 만들어 질 수 있다. 보는 이에게서 공감을 구하고 또 그들에게 감동을 주기 위해서는 본인의 작품에서 서정성이 느껴질 수 있는 방법을 찾아보고 싶었다. 마지막으로 작품 표현 주제에 있어서는 누구나 경험하기에 쉽게 공감을 얻어 낼 수 있는'일상'에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 일상을 바라보는 나의 시각과 경험, 그리고 그것을 풀어내는 표현은'나'를 나타내는 또 다른 방법으로, 일상 속에서 내가 느끼는 다양한 감정과 순간 순간의 느낌은 나의 경험과 사고가 결합하여 그 의미를 찾을 수 있을 것이다. 또한 예술에서 표현되는 일상의 의미와 일상에서 느낄 수 있는 서정성에 대해 알아 보도록 하겠다. 이번 연구는 작품 제작을 함에 있어 본인의 내면 속에 축적된 경험과 감정들의 중요성을 깨닫게 된 계기가 됐으며'나'의 독창적인 시각으로 사물을 이해하고 표현하는 부분에 많은 노력을 기울여야 겠다는 생각을 갖게 했다. 이 논문이 본인의 작품을 표현하고 분석하는 토대를 만들어 앞으로의 작품 제작에 있어 발전의계기가 됐으면 한다.;Art is the expression of artists. Many people explain that art is regarded as the following: imitation or intuition; imagination and amusements; creation of beauty. However, there is no specific art type as long as pluralism exists in the field of art. At this point of time in which the definition of art is varied, what does art pursue? Compared to scientific logic and rational thought, art expresses subjective feeling of artists. In art, expression of feeling constitutes not only fundamental element of expression of art but also includes daily events and various attitudes. Through art, people can be impressed and aroused. Thus, the essence of art is humanity that triggers impression. In this study, I want to examine the relation between art and lyricism by knowing the definition of lyricism in different art areas. Although methods of emotional expression were different from current one, art and philosophy have focused on ‘human-being’ since Renaissance. Romanticism made it possible to enrich individuality of artists and make free use subjective feeling. In this view, I will define the concept of lyricism by seeking how 19th lyric poetry in literature and music of the romantic school expresses the definition of lyricism. Through understanding the above background, we can not only recognize the importance of lyricism in art but can also provide the basic knowledge of lyricism in visual art. In general, there is no obvious definition about what lyric paintings are. However, on the whole, I believe that we can find a common feature that lyric drawings have. I think that it is needed for me to analyze the atmosphere of lyric paintings though several referential work in order to feel lyricism in my drawings. Moreover, I also think that it is necessary to find how lyricism can be expressed in visual art. Lyricism is a certain atmosphere which is made by emotional expression of an artist. This kind of an atmosphere can allow an artist to move his or her mind indirectly. This atmosphere can be made by the composition of the formative elements: colors ; natural lines ; form ; composition ; etc . I try to find the method that lyricism can be felt in my paintings for the sake of sharing sympathy with viewers. Finally, I would like to represent ‘daily life’ that can be easily leading sympathy in expressional subject of work. I can regard my sights and experiences in daily life as another way that I may be expressed myself. In this view, through various feelings that combined with experiences and thoughts, I can find the meaning of emotional feelings. Through this study and my drawings, I recognize the importance of accumulated experiences and feelings inside my mind. In addition, it is crucial for us to understand objects and express these on our own ways. This study gives me an opportunity to improve my works in terms of expressing and analyzing my feelings.
