Abstract
본 연구는 靑少年期의 性格形成에 가장 중요한 역할을 하고있는 自我槪念을 측정하고, 自我槪念과 靑少年期의 重要한 발달과제인 학업성취도 및 동료간 인기도의 상관관계를 밝힘으로써, 學校敎育의 知的·情意的인 면에서 교육효과를 좀더 높여줄 수 있는 기초자료의 提供에 그 意義와 必要性이 있다고 하겠다. 이에 본 연구의 문제는 다음과 같이 4가지로 나눌 수 있다. 첫째, 중·고등학생의 자아개념점수에는 性別·年齡別로 意義있는 차이가 있는가? 둘째, 중·고등학생의 自我槪念과 동료간 인기도간에는 意義있는 상관이 있는가? 셋째, 중·고등학생의 自我槪念과 학업성취도간에는 意義있는 상관이 있는가? 넷째, 중·고등학생의 동료간 인기도와 학업성취도간에는 意義있는 상관이 있는가? 本 硏究의 문제를 알아보기 위한 연구의 대상은 서울시내 동부지역에 위치한 8개교의 남·녀 중고등학생 2학년 466名이었다. 조사도구는 이들의 자아개념을 알아보기 위하여 정원식(1968)의 자아개념검사를 使用하였으며, 동료간 인기도는 인기아선정문항 3개로 構成된 사회성측정검사를 硏究者가 직접 作成하여 사용하였다. 학업성취도는 대상학생의 해당학년 4月末 중간고사, 고등학교의 경우는 4월 실력고사의 평균점수를 표준점수로 환산하여 사용하였다. 조사결과 蒐集된 資料를 가지고 自我槪念의 性別·年齡別差異를 알아보기 위하여 CR검증을 하였으며, 自我槪念과 동료간 인기도, 自我槪念과 학업성취도, 동료간 인기도와 학업성취도간의 상관관계를 알기 위하여 적률상관계수 r을 산출하였고 의의도는 t검증을 하였다. 위와같은 절차를 통하여 얻은 資料의 分析結果 및 結論은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자아개념점수의 性別·年齡別差異 중·고등학생의 자아개념점수는 CR검증결과, 性別·年齡別差異가 통계적으로는 意義있는 차이가 없다는 것이 검증되었다. 둘째, 自我槪念과 동료간 인기도의 상관관계 중·고등학생의 自我槪念과 동료간 인기도간의 상관계수의 범위는 .15∼.47까지로서 대체로 有義한 정적인 상관이 있었다. 성별에 있어서는 남학생보다 여학생이 더 높은 意義있는 상관을 나타냈다. 중학교의 경우, 남·녀의 差異가 뚜렷하여 남학생이 여학생보다 훨씬 높은 상관을 보이고 있다. 연령별로는 중학교보다 고등학교가 더 확실한 상관을 보여주고 있다. 셋째, 自我槪念과 학업성취도의 상관관계 상관계수의 범위는 .16∼.56까지로서 대체로 높은 상관관계를 보여 주었다. 특히 고등학교 여학생에게서 가장 높은 상관을 나타냈으며 性別에 따라서 큰 差異가 나타나고 있다. 중학생의 경우는 남학생만 상관에 意義가 있었으며, 고등학생의 경우는 남학생보다 여학생에게서 훨씬 높은 상관을 나타내었다. 넷째, 동료간 인기도와 학업성취도와의 상관관계 상관계수의 범위는 .21∼.46까지로서 대체로 높은 有義한 상관을 보여주었으며, 특히 중학교 남학생의 경우에서 가장 높은 상관을 나타내었다. 性別에 있어서는 남학생이 여학생보다 약간 높은 상관을 보여주었으며, 年齡別로는 중학교가 고등학교보다 훨씬 높은 상관을 나타내었다.;This research has significance in furnishing school with the basic date to increase the educational efficiency in the cognitive and emotional aspects of school education by measuring the self-concept that plays the most important role in the formation of personality of the teen agers and by investigating the corelation between self-consciousness and academic achievement or popularity among students which are also important in the development of the teen agers. Therefore, the problem of this research is divided into four as following. 1. Is there any significant difference in self-concept of junior and senior high school students according to their sex and age? 2. Is there any meaningful correlation between self-concept and popularity among students of junior ad senior high school students? 3. Is there any significant correlation between self-concept and academic achievement of junior and senior high school students? 4. Is there any significant correlation between popularity among students and academic achievement of junior and senior high school students? The subjects of this research are the 466 numbers of second grade boy and girl students from eight junior and senior high school which are located in the east part of Seoul downtown as are a research apparatus, and self-concept testing paper made by Mr. Chung Won Sik in 1968 is administered to check students' self-concept and also sociality measurement testing paper composing of three items and made by researcher herself is used to check popularity among student. Academic achievement is examined by converting average marks of mid-term of junior high school tested in April and monthly examination of senior high school into absolute marks, with data collected as a result of investigation, CR testing is used to check the difference of self-concept between sex and age and Pearson's Product-Moment Correlation r is calculated and t-testing is used to check the correlation between self-concept and popularity among students, self-concept and Academic achievement, popularity among students and academic achievement. The Result and conclusion of data obtained through the above process is as following. 1. *The difference of self-concept between sex and age* Self-concept of junior and senior high school students has a tendency of increasing according to age and the highest distribution of marks is shown especially in the case of girl students of junior high school. But it is proved as a result of CR testing that there is no meaningful and statistical difference of self-concept between sex and age. 2. *The Correlation between self-concept and Popularity among Students* The scope of coefficient of correlation between self-concept and popularity among students of junior and senior high school students is .15 to .47 which is a meaningful and positive correlation. Girl students show more meaningful and higher correlation than boy students and the students of senior nigh school have more distinct correlation between self-concept and popularity among students than those of junior high school in age. But in the case of junior high school, there is a clear distinction between girl and boy students and boy students show much higher correlation than girl students. 3. *The Correlation between self-concept and academic achievement* The scope of coefficient of correlation between the two is .16 to .56, and it shows rather higher relationship. The highest correlation is shown especially in senior high school girl students and there is a big difference according to sex. There is a meaningful correlation only in boy students in the case of junior high school and much higher correlation is hewn in girl students than in boy students in the case of senior high school. 4. *The correlation between popularity among students and academic achievement - The scope of coefficient of correlation between the two is .21 to .46 and rather high and meaningful. Boy students has a little higher correlation than girl students, and boy students of junior high school show the highest correlation. But, on the contrary, there is the lowest correlation in the case of boy students of senior high school.
