정보매체의 이미지 표현에 관한 도자조형연구

Abstract

현대인들은 다양한 정보매체에 둘러싸인 삶을 살아가고 있다. 신문, 컴퓨터, TV, 라디오, 잡지 등에 빠져 하루하루를 바쁘게 살고 있다. 이런 정보매체의 등장은 인류 역사상 인간이 예전에 경험하지 못했던 엄청난 체험을 하게 만들었다. 하지만 일상속의 현대인은 정보매체에 너무나도 익숙한 나머지 그것이 전달하려고 하는 의미를 무의식적으로 받아들이고 또 흘려 버린다. 주변의 정보매체를 마치 물이나 공기처럼 수동적으로 받아들이고 있다. 이제 정보매체는 삶의 일상(日常)이 되었다. 하루의 시간속에서 수면시간을 제외한 깨어 있는 동안 무의식적이든 혹은 의식적이든간에 정보매체를 접하고 있다. 따라서 정보매체에 대한 올바른 이해는 현대인에게 매우 중요한 의미로 다가온다. 대중매체는 정보의 전달을 신속하고 대량으로 할 수 있는 장점이 있는 반면에 그 전달이 너무나도 순간적이고 그 대상 또한 불특정한 대중을 상대로 하기 때문에 정보매체를 접하는 현대인 개개인의 선택적인 판단을 필요로 한다. 우리가 유념해야 할 것은 현대인은 일상에서 대중매체에 항상 노출되어 있기 때문에 좋든 싫든간에 그것으로부터 어떠한 영향을 받게 된다는 것이다. 그 영향력이 부정적인지 혹은 긍적적인지는 전적으로 개인의 정보에 대한 해석능력에 달려 있다. 본 연구자는 정보수용자의 한 사람으로서 정보의 개념, 정보매체등장의 역사에 대해 알아보고 현대에 와서 정보매체가 일반 수용자에게 미치는 효과에 관한 여러 이론에 대해서 고찰하였다. 그 과정에서 얻어진 정보매체에 대한 본인의 감성을 도자 조형예술로 창조해 나가는 것을 연구의 목적으로 삼았다. 작품의 제작방법으로는 반복적 표현을 용이하게 하기 위해 석고틀을 이용한 이장주입기법을 사용하였고, 하나의 개체를 반복배치함으로써 조형물을 완성하는 형식을 사용했다. 태토는 백색도와 강도를 높히기 위해 슈퍼화이트의 자기질 점토를 사용하였으며 유약은 형태의 효과적 표현을 위해 무유 처리하거나 백자무광유로 담금시유하였다. 생활주변에서의 정보의 풍부함을 자연의 색감을 이용해 자연에서 느끼는 푸른색과 초록색의 색유를 주로 사용했고, 선명한 색을 위해 투명유에 안료를 섞어 사용하기도 하였다. 소성방법은 0.14㎥전기가마에서 마침온도 850℃까지 8시간동안 1차소성을 하였으며 2차소성은 마침온도 1,240℃까지 10시간에 걸쳐 산화염소성을 하였다. <작품1>은 흐름의 표현을 위해 안쪽 면에 <작품9>는 표면의 효과적인 표현을 위해서 전사기법을 이용하여 0.14㎥전기가마에서 800℃까지 5시간 동안 3차 소성하였다. 본 연구를 통해 생활 주변의 정보매체가 너무나 친숙해 잊고 있었던 정보의 중요성을 느끼게 되었다. 또한 수용자가 정보매체를 대하는 수용자마다의 상이한 관점에 흥미를 느꼈다. 이런 과정에서 구체적으로 형태화되지 않은 정보란 것을 도자조형으로 표현하고 이런 조형과정에서 정보매체의 외형적인 변형만이 아닌 연구자의 주관적 감성이 포함된 조형과정이 필요함을 알게 되었고 도자조형을 통해 표현하고자 하였다. 아무쪼록 본 연구가 앞으로의 작품 창작활동에 조금이나마 보탬이 되었으면 하는 바람이다;Modern people live their lives with information media surrounded. They are indulged in Newspaper, computer, TV, radio, movies, magazines, and so forth. The human beings got a experience they had ever had due to the appearance of information media. However, people are so familar with the information media in their daily lives, they accept the meaning of information media unconsciously and sometimes they overlook the meaning in it. They accept the information media passively as if they took breath and water. Now information media is a daily event. People get access to information media consciously or unconsciously in the waking hours. Therefore, the right understandingof the information media has a significant meaning to the modern people. information media carries the information so rapidly in a large scale. It is so momentary and targets unspecific people. So it requires the individuals' decision in selecting the information. The consumer's active analysis of the information media has a very significant meaning. What we have attention in our minds is that consumer is constantly influenced by the information media because they are always exposed to the information media whether or not they prefer it. The influence of the information media depends on the individual ability in analyzing the information. This study chiefly analyzed the correlations between the accepting process of the information media and the image expression of it. Also this study is mainly focused on the creating the figurative ceramic arts with the emotion formed through the process of the study. For the wide scope of the study, the correlation between the information and the concept of information media was inquired. And the theories on the effects of the information media to the public were also studied. In the working process, the slip-casting method with a gypsum mold was used for the expression of repetitive and massive production. An repetitive individual completes the figurative arts. Super-white porcelain clay was used and the surface was non-shiny glazed or matt non-shiny glazed. For the plentiful expressions of the information, natural blue color and green color were used. For more transparent color, glaze mixed with paints was use depending on the works. Firing technique is that the first firing was progressed in 8 hours reached to 852℃ and then oxidation firing was progressed in 10 hours reached to 1240℃ in the 0.14㎥ sized electric kiln. The third firing progressed in 3 hours reached to 800℃ in transcription technique was for the expression of flow in the <work1> inside and the effective expression of the surface in the <work9>. This study gives me a chance to realize the importance of the information media, which is overlooked in a daily life. Individuals' diverse point of view on the information media get me interested. Through the study what I learned is that in the figurative process individual's subjective emotion is needed in addition to the different point of view in accepting information, not to speak of an external change. I just expect the study to be an help to the future creative activities
