야생화의 형태를 응용한 도자접시 디자인연구

Abstract

문화가 고도로 발전되고 경제적 여유가 생기면서 현대인들은 의, 식, 주의 모든 생활영역에서 자기 자신만의 아름다움을 추구하게 되었다. 다시 말해 현대인들이 사용하는 모든 생활 도구는 아름다움이 중요한 조건이 되었다. 식기도 단순히 음식을 담는 도구로써의 쓰임뿐만 아니라 미적 욕구를 충족시키는 수단의 하나가 되었다. 그러므로 현대인들의 미적 욕구를 충족시켜 줄 수 있는 디자인이 필요하다고 생각되었다. 이러한 식기를 그중에서도 가장 다양한 용도로 사용되는 접시를 야생화의 형태를 응용하여 디자인하여 아름다운 공예품으로써 표현하려한다. 공예는 쓰임을 떠나지 않으며, 그렇다고 감상에 그치는 것이어서는 안 되며 보다 깊숙이 생활에 활용되어야 하는 것으로써 아름다움과 생활을 결부시키는 것이 진정한 공예이다. 꽃은 동서양을 막론하고 아름다움의 상징이며 다양한 형태와 색을 가지고 있어 조형화하는데 있어서 좋은 소재가 될 수 있다. 특히 야생화가 가지는 색이나 모양은 너무나 다양하고 아름답다. 인간의 도움 없이 스스로 자라서 꽃을 피우며 살아가는 꽃의 생명력이 스트레스에 시달리는 현대인에게 정신적 위안과 심리적 안정감을 줄 수 있기에 접시를 야생화의 형태를 응용하여 인간의 미적요구를 충족시켜줄 수 있는 아름다운 공예품으로 표현하는데 목적을 두었다. 야생화의 형태를 이용한 접시 개발연구에 있어서 먼저 표현소재로써의 야생화와 꽃이 가지는 구조와 종류에 대해 알아보았다. 그리고 생활속에서의 공예에 대해 알아봄으로써 공예가 가지는 의미를, 접시의 일반적인 고찰을 통해 접시의 개념과 용도에 대해 알아보고 꽃을 주제로 한 작품 사례를 바탕으로 실용성과 아름다움을 절충시켜 기능성과 미적요소가 결합된 접시를 디자인하였다. 디자인과정에 있어 꽃을 주제로 한 만큼 화려하게 표현하되 편하게 사용 할 수 있도록 실용성도 고려해 형태는 단순화시키되 부분적인 요소를 확대하여 강조 하여 꽃의 느낌을 표현하였다. 그리고 다양한 상차림에 활용할 수 있도록 다양한 크기와 형태로 디자인하였다. 차별화와 독창성을 추구하는 현대인에게 수공예적 소량생산 방식으로 예술성과 기능성을 겸비한 도자 접시제작을 위해 성형방법은 반복제작을 위한 가압성형과 주입성형을 병행하였다. 태토사용에 있어 가압성형시 유약의 발색효과를 높이면서 형태의 변형을 우려해 산백토를 주로 사용하였고 <작품6>은 거친 느낌을 더하기위해 석기질점토를 함께 사용하였다. 그 외의 주입 성형시에는 형태에 율동감 을 쉽게 주고 발색이 좋도록 백점토를 사용하였다. 시유는 광택백유, 무광택백유를 기본으로 다양한 색상의 유약을 사용함으로써 꽃이 가지는 자유로움과 아름다움을 표현하고자하였다. 소성은 0.3㎥ 전기가마에서 9시간동안 최고온도 900℃까지 1차 소성을 하였고 2차 소성은 같은 전기가마에서 최고온도 1240℃까지 11시간동안 산화염소성 하였다. 작품을 만들면서 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 기존의 접시와는 다른 형태의 접시를 제작함에 있어 야생화가 가지는 형태와 색채는 좋은 소재였으며, 흙이 가지는 물성을 최대한 이용함으로써 표현하고자하는 형태를 나타 낼 수 있었다. 이로 인해 흙이 가지는 물성을 다시 한번 느끼게 되는 계기가 되었고, 접시가 단순히 음식을 담는 도구의 역할뿐 아니라 다양한 형태와 색으로써 음식의 맛과 연출함에 있어 큰 역할을 하는 것을 알았다. 결론적으로 공예는 아름다움과 생활이 결부되어 나타나는 작품이다. 그러므로 공예에 나타나는 아름다움은 감상에만 그쳐서는 안 되며 보다 깊숙이 생활에 활용되어야 할 것이고, 단순히 쓰임에만 그치는 것이 아니라 아름다움과 균형 있는 조화를 이루어야 할 것이다. 그리고 야생화가 가지는 다양한 형과 색은 조형화 과정에 있어서 좋은 소재였으며, 사용자의 쓰임과 미적 욕구를 충족시켜줄 수 있는 접시디자인연구에 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바란다. ;As highly developing culture and their economic allowance, modern people can enjoy their own beauty in all living areas including food, clothing and housing. In other word, the beauty in all living tools used by modern people becomes one of the most essential conditions. Overriding a role to serve food, tableware becomes a tool which can satisfy a desire for beauty. Therefore, developing design is needed to satisfy their desire for beauty. Applying the shape of flowers, this study tries to design dishes, which have the most various usage in tableware. It is of common knowledge that flower is the symbol of beauty throughout the Oriental and the Occidental, and has a various shape, color, and perfume. Especially, flower can give mental consolation and psychological comfort to modern people. From these shape of flower, this study tries to extract the beauty which can satisfy human's aesthetic desire. In study on ceramic plate applying the shape of flower, This study introduces the various shape and formative art of flower. The study also examines the reasons why many artists has selected flowers as their subject and mutual relation with the beauty of form. It shows works describing flowers as subject. And through the general review about plate, it introduces the concept and usage, and designs plates mixed the function and beautiful factor by compromising practical utility and beauty. In process of design, practical utility as well as splendour of flower is considered. The shape of works is simplified avoiding the decorative factor and the image of flower is emphasized using glaze. The clay work was basically made by press moulding and slip casting techniques. The stoneware clay, grogged clay and silk clay were used. The first firing was progressed in maximum 900℃ for nine hours in an 0.3㎥ electric kiln, and the second firing was done in maximum 1240℃ for eleven hours in the same kiln. To express the freedom and beauty of flowers, the various color was applied such as shiny white glaze and white matt. The shape and color of flower are the good subject matter in the moulding process. It is the reseacher's sincere hope that this research contributes to satisfy the various aesthetic desire of users.
