생명 에너지의 유기적 공간 표현

Abstract

주변의 사물들은 무언가 진실을 말하고 있는 듯하며 그것을 느끼도록 해준다. 본인에게 현실에 존재하는 모든 사물은 하늘의 이치에 부합해 이루어져 각각 독특한 과정을 가지고 숨을 쉬는 듯하며, 다른 울림들을 가지고 서로가 서로에게 말을 하고 주변의 대기와도 상호 소통하고 있는 듯하다. 당연한 것을 새롭게 인식한다는 것은 매순간 이루어지고 있는 삶의 과정에 대한 의미의 재발견과 함께 살아있음에 대한 내적 감동으로 이어지곤 한다. 모든 존재에서 느낄 수 있으나 보이지 않는 기운은 본인으로 하여금 다시 살아있는 꿈을 꿀 수 있게 해 주는 원동력과도 같으며, 직접 체험하며 느끼는 모든 것은 본인에게 살아있는 의미 있는 것으로서 다가온다. 과학적인 시각은 직관적으로 감각하는 많은 교감들을 불확실성의 범주로 외면하게 만들기도 한다. 인간이 만들어낸 질서 안에 우주의 생명적 질서를 대입하려 하는 현대 과학의 인식 논리는 인간의 시각과 사고를 한계 짓고 마는 것이다. 보이지 않는다고 하여 존재하지 않는 것은 아니며 비가시적인 대상의 본질을 직관하려는 것은 인간의 본연적인 속성이기도 한 것이다. 그리고 보잘 것 없는 한 장의 나뭇잎 속에서도 모든 법칙을 유추해 낼 수 있듯이 우주의 진행을 유추해 낼 수 있는 직관은 정신세계를 맑고 풍요롭게 하는데 분명히 도움이 된다고 생각한다. 본 논문은 본인이 마음을 통해 바라본 내재된 생명 에너지를 삶 속에서 각 존재들의 보이지 않는 내부와 깊이를 직관적 의식 작용을 통해 들여다보고 그것이 외부와 서로 투명하게 상통하고 교차되고 있음을 작품을 통해 연구한 것이다. 그것은 아무리 하찮은 것이라도 생명 에너지로 이루어져 있음을 드러내고자 하는 것이며, 그것에 생명을 느끼고 생명의 의미를 다시 부여하여 형상화해가는 반복의 과정은 본인 작품의 주요 모티브가 된다. 끊임없이 생성·소멸 해가는 생명 에너지의 변화 과정은 내면의식과 밀접하게 연관되어 작품화되는 것이다. 본인은 과학적 시각이 아닌 동양의 직관적 사유에 의한 생명주의적 관점에서 생명의 본질에 대해 고찰하고 이러한 비가시적이며 형이상학적인 생명의 개념을 추상적 조형언어를 통해 표현하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 또한, 생명에 내재한 생명 에너지의 형상화를 위해 생명의 본질을 나타내는 형태의 표현과 유기적 형태에 나타나는 생명성을 연구하고자 하였다. 그러한 이해를 위하여 논자는 이론적으로는 동양의 전통적 인식체계 안에서의 ‘생명 에너지’에 대하여 알아보고 이의 운용을 총체적으로 대변하는 '기(氣)'에 대하여도 살펴보았으며, 생명 에너지에 대한 의미를 유가, 도가, 불가 등 동양 사상을 통해서도 알아보았다. 그리고 생명의 본질이 현실화 된 세포나 돌 등의 이미지와 유기적 형태를 표현함에 있어서 예술가의 직관적 사유로 인해 창출된 자율적 형태가 생명 에너지 표현에 적절한가에 대해 살펴보았으며, 표현적 방법에서는 자율적이며 동적인 생명의 원초적 형태들을 공간 안에 자유로이 배치함으로서 유동적이며 지속적인 생명 현상들과 의미들을 함축하고자 하였음을 방법적 연구를 통해 살펴보았다. 또한 작품을 제작함에 있어 사용한 배채법과 선과 면,색에 대하여도 살펴보았다. 이러한 조형 작업을 통해 세계를 바라보는 시각을 넓혀나가고, 보다 순수한 생명의 본질에 다가서고자 함에 본 논문의 의미가 있으며, 대자연속에 생동하는 산천초목, 구름 한 점도 무관한 것이라고 여기지 않는 원초적 생명 에너지에 대한 지속적인 철학적·방법적 접근을 통해 본인의 작업을 발전시켜 나가고자 한다.

;Those things around us are revealing something of truth and let us feel it. All the existing objects seems to me organized according to the reason of heaven, breathing in their unique process and talking to each other in their own tone and making communication to ambient air. While refreshing recognitions of presumed matters, meaning of life can be re-defined and internal sensation of living is excited. The invisible spirit felt from all the existence is the motive power for dreaming the dream alive, and every feelings and experiences come up to me as something alive and meaningful. Usually scientific point of view takes intuitive sympathy into the category of uncertainty. The recognition logic of modern science limits human's vision and thoughts substituting natural cosmos of the universe by the system that human made. Invisible is another thing from nonexistence, and it is a human nature trying to grasp the essence of invisible object by intuition. As any law can be analogized from insignificancy such as a leaf, the intuition which can analogize natural cosmos certainly helps clarifying our mental world and making it rich. In this paper the invisible internality and depth was observed by intuitive conscious process and studied by works that those are communicated transparently to externality. It is to reveal that even any trifle thing is made up from the life energy. The repeating process of configuration through feeling the life and regiving meaning of life is the leading motive of my artworks. The perpetual changes of life energy in creation and expiration is intimately related to inner senses and rules the canvas. This paper consider intrinsic nature of life in naturalistic point of view through the intuitional thinking that is oriental but far from scientific viewpoint. Also it is to express the invisible and metaphysical concept of life into abstract formative art language. And for configuration of immanent life energy of all creatures, it studies forms expressing the essence of life and life nature appeared in organic figure. For such understanding, the thesis studies life energy in the oriental traditional recognition system and "chi" the spiritual energy that generally speaks for its applications. Also it studies the meaning of life energy through orient philosophies such as Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. It was studied whether autonomous form created by artist's intuitive speculation is pertinent to express the images of cells and stones to which the essence of life is configurated, and also observed by methodical study that it was to implicate mobile and continuous life phenomena and meaning by laying out the primitive form of autonomous and dynamic life free in the space. Through such formative work, it is to widen the eyesight for the universe and approach the innocent nature of life. Moreover to develope my artworks through the constant philosophical approach to life energy regarding mountains and stream, plants and trees full of life in Mother Nature.
