프로세스 품질과 프로덕트 품질을 고려하는 VV&T 모델의 테일러링 방안과 적용

Abstract

While a product is developed, we have to consider not only quality of process, but also quality of product. The reason is that high quality of process is not fully able to ensure high quality of product. In other words, the need of a model considering both quality of process and quality of product has been arise. Therefore, we propose the VV&T model that improves both process quality and product quality by following tailored verification, validation and testing activities. This model presents a concrete and practical model for software development organizations. We also apply VV&T model to the sample project related to the web domain. We make tailored verification, validation and testing guideline according to the given domain with the VV&T model. This model saves development time and cost by eliminating duplication work.

;소프트웨어 품질을 정의하기 위한 여러 가지 소프트웨어 품질 모델이 개발되어 왔다. 이 모델들은 크게 두 가지로 나누어 볼 수 있는데 프로세스 품질 모델과 프로덕트 품질 모델이다. 국제 표준인 ISO/IEC 9126[16]은 소프트웨어 프로덕트 품질을 측정하기 위한 소프트웨어 품질 모델을 제시하였고 카네기 멜론 대학(CMU)의 소프트웨어공학연구소 (SEI)에서는 미국방성(DoD)의 의뢰를 받아서 능력 성숙도 모델(CMM; Capability Maturity Model)[2]이라는 능력 성숙도 모델을 제시하여 소프트웨어 프로세스 개선을 통한 품질 향상을 이루려고 하였다. 한편에서는 프로세스 품질과 프로덕트 품질 모두를 측정 및 개선시키기 위한 품질 모델도 제시되었으나 그 범용화는 이루지 못하였고 연구가 미흡한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 확인(Verification), 검증(Validation) 및 테스팅(Testing) 활동을 통하여 프로세스 품질과 프로덕트 품질 모두를 개선시키는 VV&T(Verification and Validation & Testing)모델을 제안한다. VV&T는 프로세스와 프로덕트 품질 개선을 위한 확인, 검증, 테스팅 활동이 중복되지 않도록 하면서, 개발 프로세스에 따라 정립되도록 제시하고 있으며 적용 도메인에 테일러링 된 품질 가이드를 제공한다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 VV&T 모델을 실제 프로젝트에 적용시켜본다. VV&T 모델은 프로젝트 수행 시간을 절약시키고, 중복작업을 제거함으로써 비용 절감도 가능하게 하여효율성을 높이고 VV&T를 구성하고 있는 여러 표준들에 대해 다양한 뷰를 보여주는 것이 가능하다.
