輪廻의 循環的 意味의 造形化 硏究

Abstract

Like the national flag, symbol of its nation and people, exalting patriotism, man created symbols bring forth solidity to unite as one. Through the formative representation of transmigration's symbolism, we have a new understanding about life's vicissitudes and everlasting circulation showing other aspects of life. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and image the circulatory meanings of transmigration applying with various shapes of circles and ellipse. The content of this thesis Is to state philosophical background and transmigration's symbolism, showing the basis of the circle's symbolic represenation. The modeling of the sculptures was to image the circle's repetitions, changes and mutual relations and to analyze sculptural circulations images. The method of this thesis was through research of documentation and analyzing and sculpting the circle's symbolic meaning of circulation to present as philosophical basis of transmigration. The sculptures are composed of one stone, one wood, one FRP, and four bronzes totaling seven sculptures. Analysis of the sculptures is formative meaning of circulatory images of circle's repetitions, changes, and mutual relations. The results of the thesis are as follows. First, the image of circulates meaning of transmigration has sculptural space effect of circle's mutual relations. The space effect of contiguity is comparison, proportion, and spatial state of flux. The space effect of reiteration and infiltration is the visual comparison of perspective representation of strength and weakness, tension and laxity, expansion and contraction. The space effect unification is sense of security of ellipse. The space effect of deduction intersection is liveliness of systematic form. Finally, the space effect of concurrence is maximizing general and union state. Second, circle's formative characteristic is circulatory repetitions and by its repetitions builds visual rhythms of change, comparison, and unification. Third, curves and spirals are formed through circle's repetitions, Curves represent tension, liveliness, direction and movement. Fourth the form of circle changes with dimensional, additional and deduction changes. Space effect of dimensional change is a dynamic liveliness by comparison. Space effect of deduction change is sphere and parabola. Parabola represents closed space and open space having direction and inclination. Space effect of additional changes is real space and complex space changes by volume change.;국기가 겨레나 나라의 상징이 되어 애국심을 고양시키는 것처럼 사람들은 스스로 창조해낸 상징을 통해 一體感을 형성하고 결속을 다지기도 한다. 輪廻의 상징적 표현의 조형적 形象化를 통해 우리는 人生流轉과 永遠한 循環관에 대해 재인식하게 되고 윤회에 대한 재인식은 삶을 이해하는 다른 측면을 제시하여 줄 것이다. 본 연구의 목적은 윤회의 순환적 의미의 image를 원의 형상을 적용하여 표현하는데 있다. 본 연구의 내용은 윤회의 철학적 배경과 윤회의 상징적 표현에 대해 전개하였고 윤회로서의 원의 표현에 대한 근거를 제시하였으며 작품제작은 윤회를 원의 상호관계와 원의 반복과 변화에 의해 형상화 하여 순환적 image를 조형적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 방법은 문헌조사와 순환의 상징성을 지닌 원을 통한 작품제작 및 분석을 竝行하였고 동서양의 윤회에 대한 사상을 순환으로 규정하는 근거로 철학적 배경을 제시하였다. 분석대상의 작품은 석조 1점, 목조 1점, F.R.P 1점, Bronze 4점으로 모두 7점이며 작품분석은 원들의 상호관계와 원의 반복적 변화에 의해 형상화된 순환적 image를 조형적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결론는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 윤회의 순환적 의미의 image 표현은 원의 상호관계에 의한 조형적 공간 효과를 가진다. 접근에 의한 공간 효과는 유동적 공간감과 대비와 비례의 효과이며 중첩과 침투에 의한 공간효과는 원근법에 의한 강약, 긴장과 이완, 팽창과 수축과 같은 시각적 대비 효과이다. 통합에 의한 공간효과는 타원형 구조가 주는 안정감이며, 공제와 교차에 의한 공간효과는 유기체적 형태의 생명감이고 합치에 의한 공간효과는 전체성과 합일된 상태의 극대화이다. 둘째, 윤회의 순환적 image의 조형적 특성은 원의 순환적 반복이며 반복에 의해 생성되는 시각적 리듬은 변화, 비교, 강조, 통일을 이룬다. 세째, 원의 반복에 의해 곡선과 나선형이 형성되고 곡선의 C곡선과 S곡선, 와선은 긴장감, 생명력, 방향성, 운동감을 표현한다. 네째, 원의 형태는 폭, 길이의 변환, 공제적 변환, 부가적 변환에 의해 변화된다. 폭, 길이 변환의 공간효과는 대비에 의한 동적인 생명력이며 공제적 변환의 공간효과는 반원과 원환으로의 형태변화이고 반원은 폐쇄적 공간과 개방된 공간에 의한 방향성과 지향의지를 지니게 되며, 부가적 변환의 공간효과는 부피의 변화에 의한 실공간과 허공간의 변화이다.
