自然의 圓形的 이미지의 表現에 관한 硏究

Abstract

藝術은 人間에 의해 創造되는 소우주이며, 人間은 自然에서 생겨난 자연의 한부분인 동시에, 自然이 주는 感動은 고귀한 藝術的 母體가 된다. 예술가는 言語로, 思考하는 것이 아니고 心像으로 思考함으로써 모든 것을 形象化시킬 수 있으며, 自然은 예나 지금이나 대표적인 表現對象이 되고 있는바 表現은 藝術家의 內面世界의 心像을 表出하는 形式이므로 작가가 追求하는 예술세계는 自然에 대한 깊은 愛情에서 출발하여 그 대상이 갖는 은밀한 숨소리를 찾아내는 것이며, 인간은 가려져 보이지 않던 內部의 根源的 흐름과 접하게 되는 것이다. 現代美術의 경향은 대상을 그대로 再現하려는 과거미술의 고정觀念을 거부하고, 예술가 자신의 獨創性과 個性을 중요시하여 내면세계에 存在하고 있는 무한한 내적 감정을 자신의 주장과 내적 필연성에 의해 다양한 表現으로 심미적가치를 추구하려는 抽象美術로 변모하고 있다. 조형예술로서의 染色역시 작가의 個性에 따라 獨創的인 造形性을 추구하는 현상으로 다른 조형 분야에서 表現할 수 없는 독특한 效果를 나타낸다. 따라서 본 연구자는 糊染을 주 技法으로 染色의 造形的 특성을 硏究하고 自然 그 자체의 이미지를 表現하기 보다는 연구자의 주관적인 美的 體驗에 의하여 自然에서 圓形的 이미지를 창출하여 소재로 선택하고 表現함으로써 주관적인 創作行爲에 대한 스스로의 가치관을 설정, 재정립하는데 硏究의 目的을 두었다. 이를 위한 理論的 背景으로 藝術과 自然, 抽象的 表現을 문헌을 통해 연구하였고 작품제작을 위한 方法으로 自然의 변형과 형성 및 表現技法을 硏究함으로써 실제작품 10점을 제작하는 過程에서 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 많은 작가들이 自然을 대상으로 작품을 하지만 작가의 內的心像을 어떤 形式으로 表現하느냐에 따라 表現양식이 달라지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 抽象的인 表現技法을 통해 自然을 그대로 재현하지 않고 작가 나름대로의 특유한 心像의 세계로 表現함에 따라 表現材料로서의 풀은 의도했던 주제를 특유한 효과와 질감으로 나타내는데 적합했다. 셋째, 조형예술로서의 染色은 염료와 섬유를 사용하는 材料의 특성으로 인하여 다른 분야에서는 表親할 수 없는 독특한 효과를 체험 할 수 있었다. 이와 같이 염색은 材料와 技法의 개발로 다양한 表現을 할 수 있으므로 작가의 創造的 작업은 硏究, 努力에 따라 무한히 발전될 수 있으며 작품을 제작해 나가는 동안 그동안의 硏究가 연구자에게는 커다란 도움이 되었으며 이를 바탕으로 앞으로의 作品生活에도 더욱 훌륭한 밑거름이 되리라 본다.;Art is a kind of small cosmos created by men: man is a part of nature derivated by nature itself, and at the same time to man the spiritual effect or image nature serves becomes a fountain of art. Considering that the artist can give all things shapes by thinking not with languages but with his images, that nature becomes always the most general object of human expression, and that expression is the channel the artist expresses his images of deep-mind world, we can say the artist seeks for an artistic world which is to find the extraordinary special virtue the object or the nature has, starting from the mindful affection to nature, and as the result he becomes to contact with an internal hidden flow of original channel. A tendency of modern art is against the fixed idea in the art of the past willing to reveal the object as it appears, laying importance on the characteristics and individuality of an artist himself, toward the abstractionism to look for the aesthetical value by expressing variously the unlimited internal human emotion by the maintenance of his own opinion and internal necessity. The process of dyeing as a part of plastic arts is also at the trend of seeking for the characteristic formation according to artist's prsonality, and showes a special virtue other plastic fields can't present. Accordingly I have become to investigate formative characteristics of dyeing activities, especially founded in the technique of varnish dyeing, and this study has been naturally as the result aimed to set up or refine own view of value on the art of subjective creation by discovering original images from nature by subjective aesthetic experiences, choosing them as subject, matters and expressing them, rather than by expressing the images of the materials as such. For this, as theoretical foundations some records on the subject of 'art and nature' and 'abstract expression' were referred, and in the process of creating actually ten pieces of works the variation and formation of nature and expressing techniques has been studied. And the conclusions are like these : First, though many artists beget or choose creative subjects in nature, according to the style of expressing their own internal images, the patterns expressed can be varified. Secondly as the effect of not revealing nature as it is, but expressing nature according to his own world of peculair images by the method of abstract expression, starch as an expressing material is adquate to express particular effects and qualities of designing subjects. And thirdly the process of dyeing as a part of plastic arts, owing to its characteristic of using dyestuff and fibre as its materials, showes a special virtue not be able to be presented in other fields. Because dyeing can be expressed variously like above with the development of materials and techniques, creative activities in this field can be also improved infinitely. In the process of producing creative works, the studies up to that time have become great supports to me, and it is expected that those will be more creditable ground in my future creative activities.
