Joseph Beuys의 作品에 나타난 Object의 特性 硏究

Abstract

예술이란 自然을 離脫해서 變質, 縮小, 재해석한다는 의미를 갖고있다. 현대에 와서 조각은 하나의 기법, 또는 단일 object를 선험적으로 상정하고있는 생산적 활동의 한 형태를 보여주며, 그 기법의 소산물로 어떠한 구체적인 형상이 아니라 추상화된 事物의 그 自體(OBJECT)를 보여주는 樣相을 띄고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 20 세기 들어 발달한 object 槪念의 變化 過程을 통해 J.Beuys의 object 작품이 기존의 object 작품과는 달리 현대 미술과 사회에 미친 영향을 알아보고 J.Beuys의 작품중 object를 분석하여 그 특성을 규명하는데 있다. 본연구의 내용은 J.Beuys의 object 작품의 특성을 규명하기 위해 이론적 배경으로 object 작품의 미술사적 전개와 J.Beuys의 예술 세계를 관찰 하였다. 작품 분석은 J.Beuys의 작품중 object 특성이 잘 나타난 object 작품을 중심으로 단독 object의 特性과 행위예술에서 나타난 object 특성으로 分類하여 그 특성을 규명하였다. 본 연구의 방법은 文獻과 作品을 기본 도구로 하였으며 문헌 자료를 통해 이론적 背景을 연구 하였다. 작품 표집은 J.Beuys의 object 작품 중 단독으로 표현한 작품 17점과 행위 표현 중 나타난 작품 30점을 object 특성이 잘 나타난 것으로 목적 표출 하였으며 分析하였다. J.Beuys의 object 특성을 分析하여 얻은 結果는 다음과 같다. 첫째, J.Beuys의 object 작품은 유동적인 性格을 갖는다. J.Beuys의 object들은 서로가 깊이 연관되어 초기에 단독으로 쓰인 지방질 펠트, 십자가, 동물 등의 object들이 후기의 행위에 쓰인 object와 같은 의미로 인간의 고정된 사고체계에 대한 반증으로 합리주의적이고 물질주의적인 현실세계에서 변화할 수 있다는 유동적인 성격을 나타낸다. 둘째, J.Beuys의 object는 전체적인 상황을 나타낸다. 그의 object는 독립된 작품으로서가 아니라 전체적 紈境을 형성하는 요소로서 전체적 분위기의 一部가 되는 것이며, 이로인해 관객은 이미 작품과 자신이 속해있는 공간속의 전체적인 상황속에 들어가 있는 것이다. 세째, J.Beuys의 object는 확대된 藝術槪念을 표현하고 있다. 사회를 진보적으로 발전 시키기위해서는 사회의 모든 분야에 내재된 원초적 추진력인 藝術性을 회복시키는 것을 유일한 방법으로 보고, 비인간적인 사회를 회복시키기위해 政治, 敎育, 美術 분야에 확대된 예술 개념을 적용시켜 인간의식의 발전을 도모했다.;Art has the meaning to transmute, reduce and reinterpret, by deviating from the nature. In modern times, the sculpture is assuming an aspect of showing one form of productive activity which is supposing one technique or sigle object transcendentally and of showing not any concrete shape but itself(object) of the thing which was made into abstract. In this study, Which modeling feature does the object work of J. Beuys has? is to be examined, through the change process of object concept which developed since the beginning of the 20th century. As for the contents of this study, so as to examine the modeling feature of object work of J. Beuys closely, the unfolding of fine art history of object work was made and the art world of J. Beuys was observed with the theoretical background. As for the work analysis, among the works of J. Beuys, with the object work in which the modeling feature appeared well in the center, by classifying into the feature of ideological materal and the object feature of sociality expression, the feature was examined closely. As for the method of this study, literature and work were used as the basic instrument, and the theoretical background was studied through the literature data. As for the work sampling, purpose sampling and analysis made with 17 pieces of the works in which the ideological material was used among the object work of J. Beuys and 30 pieces of the work which appeared in the course of action expression. The result obtained by analyzing the object feature of J. Beuys is as follows: First, the object work of J. Beuys has the flowing nature. In the point of view of his, as the usual human being is maintaining their mental activity with the prejudice made in the system of fixed thinking, he shows the concept to be able to change from the rationalistic and material actuality world as the disproof about these human being. Second, the object work of J. Beuys shows the whole situation. His object becomes a part of whole atmosphere not as the independent work but as the element of form the whole circumstance. And, by this, the spectator is already in the whole situation within the space to which work and he him-self belong. Third, the object work of J. Beuys is expressing the expanded art concept. It groped form the human consciousness by applying the expanded art concept to the field of politics, education and fine art, so as to recover the inhumane society, by regarding to recover the art nature which is the original impellent force that is immanent in all the fields of society as the unique method, in order to develop the society progressively.
