작가의 예술관이 그 시대의 예술사조에 미치는 영향

Abstract

인간의 창조행위는 역사 이래로 계속 이어지는 작업이다. 이러한 면면한 발전속에서 예술도 어떤 자유의식이나 책임의식이 따르게 되었다. 특히 근대 이후로부터 현대의 조형예술에 이르기까지 예술가는 자유와 개성에 못지 않은 무거운 문화적 책임을 지니게 되었다. 그리하여 오늘날에는 예술의 대상이나 기법도 무제한으로 확산되어 작가는 자신의 창작의도나 이념을 그저 평론가에게 의존해서는 안되게끔 되었다. 즉 작가도 자신의 작품이나 작가관(철학이념)을 내세우고 선전하게 된 것이다. 이와 같은 다양하고 다원적인 흐름 속에서 본인은 시대에 속한 한 예술가로서 존속하지 않으면 안되었다. 왜냐하면 작가의 정신적인 창작활동에는 그 시대에 공존해 있는 문화의 한 양상으로써 작가는 자신의 독특한 직관으로 사물이나 그들의 관심을 드러내는 것이기 때문이다. 또 꾸준히 이어지는 창조작업을 통하여 그가 몸담을 시대가 처해있는 세기말적 절망이나 부분별로부터 벗어날 수 있는 길이기도 하다. 본인의 작업은 이와 같이 창작의 문제점을 내포한 채 절대적인 개성이나 절대적인 예술란으로부터 벗어나서 예술 본연의 자세인 「자유로운 창조」의 길로 들어서려고 한다.;The creative activities of mankinds have been continued since the time of recorded history. Along with this creative activities of humanbeing, the sense of freedom and responsibility have come to play a great role in the field of art. Especially during the period from modern ages to the Contemporary arts, an artist has come to bear an important cultural responsibility. Thus the objects of art and the techniques, there have been widely expanded almost limitlessly. This situation have forced the artist not to leave his creative intention and idea up to the hand of the critics and caused the artist to go out to let the people know his works, philosophical view-point, and so forth by himself. In such a current trend of the times I have to establish myself as an artist, because I have a comprehension that an artist is supposed to express his or her creation of art by identifying things and worldly concern through artists insight and transcendence and that only creative works will be makes me escape from lamentable frustration of the world. Therefore my artistic work is designed with the sole object of "free-creation", divorcing from the idea of absolute personality or absolute creation, inspite of difficulties involved.
