기능조각의 특성에 관한 연구

Abstract

In mordern society, human behavior and conception is effected by the sculpture that constitute the man-made nature and man-made environment. Therefore, they need a space for emotional stablization and rest, and these kind of environmental sculpture, as a result of this, it comes to be a important problem. As the social function of art became a important element of human life, a visual form of sculpture play the function of media that connect the men and the society. In a social environment, the pure sculpture plays additional roles, they evolve to be a various form and structure, according to the place, function and role of setting place. This thesis purpose are to reserch the formative effect of the functional sculpture, and analyze the feature of them. The contents of this thesis is to study the forming and the elements of environmental sculpture through the theoretical background, and examine the formative effect and the characteristics through the kind of functional sculpture and an analysis of works. This thesis based on reference books and other sculptures. The sculpture is about a characteristic of functional sculpture among the environmental sculpture and 58 works of them were selected. This thesis conclusions are follows: The formative effect with the classification and the analysis of functional sculpture described in these works, complicately. First, it need a participation of spectator as an important element to prepare a work. Second, it perform the combined placement that means a turnover to a new space. Third, it have a fomative function that changes the function to a beauty. The features of functional sculpture are follows; The first is scenic beauty, it is enlargement of a space conception to a scenic beauty. Second, it is accordance. It dissolve the distance between the work and the spectator, and it helps to be acquaint with a work. Third, is a function of playing. It constitute the playing function and playing space, and it produce the relationship between a spectator and a work. The last is effectiveness. With the actual using of work, they have a effectivenss.;현대의 도시생활에 있어서 인간은 인위적 자연 (man-made nature)과 인위적 환경 (man-made environment) 을 구성하는 모든 조형물에 의해서 의식과 행동에 많은 영향을 받고 있다. 그러므로 정신적 안정과 휴식을 위한 공간, 그리고 적절한 환경조각품을 필요로 하게 되었다. 예술의 사회적 기능이 중요시 되어가면서, 조형물에 나타나는 시각적 형태는 나름대로 인간과 사회를 연결하는 전달의 역할을 한다. 도시환경 속에서 순수한 조각작품은 기능이 부가되어 변화하며, 놓여지는 장소의 위치나 역할, 기능에 따라 여러가지 형태와 구조로서 다양하게 전개되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 기능조각의 조형효과와 특성을 분석함에 있다. 본 연구의 내용은 이론적 배경을 통하여 환경조각의 형성과 요소를 알아보았고, 기능조각의 종류와 작품분석을 통해 조형효과와 특성을 고찰하였다. 본 연구의 방법은 문헌과 작품을 기본자료로 하였으며, 작품표집은 환경조각작품 중 기능조각의 특성이 표현된 작품 58점을 목적표출 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 기능조각의 분석에 따른 조형효과는 이러한 작품속에서 복합적으로 나타난다. 첫째, 작품의 중요한 구성요소 역할로의 대중의 참여이다. 둘째, 새로운 장소로의 전환을 뜻하는 독창적인 종합공간을 형성한다. 세째, 기능의 미화로써 새로운 조형성을 갖는다. 이에 따른 기능조각의 특성은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 景觀性으로, 조형성에서 경관성으로라는 공간개념의 확대이다. 둘째, 一體性으로, 작품과 대중의 거리감을 해소하고 작품과의 만남을 이룬다. 세째, 遊獻性으로, 유희공간과 유희기능을 형성하며 대중과 작품과의 관계를 제공한다. 네째, 有用性으로, 작품을 실제로 사용하고 이용함으로 유용성의 특성을 갖는다.
