陶瓷表面에 나타난 TEXTURE 硏究

Abstract

Art, which has undergone many changes as a result of advances in technology, adopted diverse forms and various ways of expression Accordingly, the objective I have focused on is the enhancement of visional pleasure by making use of the effect of strong contrast and the depiction of the texture through a new visional expression. I had initially examined basic geometric forms as a theoretical background, and then sought variety in shapes by cutting them to pursue new forms. In addition, through general examination of the texture, and by classifying these into different groups, I have explored a wide variety of special effects and tried to express these texture in my art production. Moreover, among the previously produced formative arts, I have analyzed the formative art works with equal artistic sense and have presented the basis of those works. The production materials include a variety of texture on stone, corrugated cardboard, and plastic slate molded for the cutting face, all of which do not have formative limitations. As for the production method, "Slip Casting" with a plaster mold was chosen. I tried to figure out the different visual effect, depending on different color blending on the same texture. Considering the nature of the work, I sprayed transparent glaze thinly on some pieces when necessary. As seen above, in this research, I have tried to : ⅰ) expose a new dimension of ceramic art by making use of geometrical shapes which give prompt visual appeals in an extremely simplified and mechanical form, and by applying strong contrastive element of texture which occupies an immense position in today's formative arts, and ⅱ) take an opportunity to expand the territory of new visual arts.;오늘날 과학의 발달에 의해 많은 변화를 겪은 예술은 모든 기술적 가능성에 대한 탐구로 다양한 형태와 함께 여러가지 표현방법을 갖게 되었다. 따라서 본 연구자의 목적은 陶瓷藝術의 새로운 시각적 표현방법으로 텍스쳐 (質感, texture)를 제시하고 강한 對比의 효과를 이용하여 그 시각적 흥미를 높이고자 하였다. 그 이론적 배경으로는 우선 기본형태로 사용한 기하학적 형태의 조형성을 고찰하여, 그 조형에 변화를 주기 위해 기하학적인 형태를 切斷함으로써 새로운 형태추구의 근거로 삼았다. 또한 텍스쳐의 일반적 고찰을 통한 개념의 이해와 함께 그 유형들을 분류하여 여러가지 특수한 효과에 대해 연구하였으며 이를 작품제작에 표현하고자 하였다. 또한 이미 先行製作되여진 조형적 사례들 중에서 유사한 美的感覺의 맥을 가진 예술작품의 조형성을 분석하여 그 근거를 제시하였다. 作品製作은 변형시키기에 무한한 조형의 가능성을 갖고 있는 돌, 골판지, 플라스틱 슬래트의 質感을 切斷面에 표현하였다. 製作方法으로는 石膏틀을 이용한 泥奬注入成形을 선택하였고, 顔料를 이장에 단계적으로 혼합하여 색감의 차이에 따라 동일한 텍스쳐라 하더라도 시각적인 효과가 다름을 알고자 하였다. 또한 作品의 특성에 따라 투명유를 표면에 않게 噴霧하여 시유하였다. 그리하여 본 연구에서는 극도로 단순화 되어진 기계적인 형태로서 시각전달이 빠른 기하학적인 형태를 이용하여 오늘날 造形藝術에서 이미 커다란 위치를 차지하고 있는 텍스쳐의 효과를 강한 對比的 要素와 함께 응용하여 새로운 陶瓷藝術의 창작을 모색하려 하였으며, 새로운 시각예술의 영역을 擴大하는 계기가 되고자 하였다.
