Julio Gonzalez 作品의 造形的 特性 硏究

Abstract

J. Gonzalez는 금속재료의 독자적 기법으로 작품의 형태에 있어서 공간과 불륨을 창조 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 J. Gonzalez의 작품을 형태별로 분석하여 조형적 특성을 고찰하는데 있다. 본 연구의 방법은 문헌과 작품을 기본자료로 하였으며 문헌자료는 이론적 배경을 중심으로 하였다. 작품분석은 형태별로 조형특성에 의하여 공간을 강조한 작품 24점과 면을 강조한 작품 27점을 목적 표출 하여 분석 하였다. 연구의 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. J. Gonzalez는 철재료를 독특하게 다루어 진보적이고 합리적인 조각양식을 창조했다. J. Gonzalez는 외적인 형식을 무시하고 입체주의, 구성주의, 초현실주의의 영향을 받았으며 독특한 자기양식의 발견으로 작품의 조형 특성에 있어 양감과 공간을 형성 하였다. 첫째, 공간을 강조한 묘사형태로 표현된 작품에서는 수평과 수직의 결합으로 닫힌형태와 열린형태의 조화로서 함축된 양을 표현함으로 공간을 확산 시켰으며 이러한 공간은 부피와 양을 형성하는 형태에 접근하여 유기적인 조화를 이루었다. 둘째, 면의 처리로서 블륨과 mass를 강조한 작품에서는 단순한 면에 의한 접합방법에 의하여 탄력있게 Voulume을 강조했으며 형식의 엄격함보다 재료의 재질감을 독특하게 살린 구상적인 분위기로 표현되었다.;Julio Gonzalez, a pioneer of iron-sculpture, created a new idea of space and volume in his works using iron as materials. The purpose of this study is the analysis and consideration of sculptural characteristics of J. Gonzalez. The research method employed in this study is through reference to documents and his works as basic. The documents were analysed in theoretic background. The works by Gonzalez was analysed with 24 works emphasing space and 27 ones about plane according to the expressive style. The result of this study are as follows. J. Gonzalez created sculptural style that was more progressive and reasonable with the iron as materials. He ignored outer form and was influenced by cubism, constructivism and surrealism, and then he developed his own sculptual style. 1. In his works which emphasized space, he expanded the space by expressing implicated amount with combination of the horizon and the vertical. This space had the harmony by approaching the form which made the volume and the amount. 2. In his works which emphasied the volume and the mass by treating the plane, he expressed the elastic volume. He contrated on the atmosphere by emphasizing the quality of iron as materials rather than the stern style.
