현대자수에 있어서 꼴라쥬와 퀼트의 재료 및 표현기법 연구

Abstract

현대 섬유예술은 급변하는 현대 미술의 사조와 급격한 산업 발달의 영 향으로 재료와 표현기법의 무한한 다양성을 보임으로써 새로운 순수조형예술세계를 추구하고 있다. 현대자수에 있어서도 이러한 다양성은 평면에서 점차로 부조 및 3차원의 입체로 정근함으로쎄 평면적 예술이라는 기존의 개념에서 벗어나 새로운 가치개념을 확립 시켰다. 본 연구의 목적은 현대자수작품에 꼴라쥬기법에 의한 귈트작업을 함으로써 그 표현기법에 따르는 부조적 효과와 재질감을 분석하고자 한다. 본 연구의 방법은 문헌연구와 작품제작 및 1.1각적 분석을 병행하였으며 이론적 배경으로써 꼴라쥬의 유래와 의의, 귈트의 일반적 고찰에 대하여 알아보고 현대 섬유예술로서의 꼴라류와 귈트의 표현재료를 통하여 작품제작의 구체적 방향을 설정 하였다. 작품제 작에 있어서는 인간내 면세 계를 형상화시켜 추상적 표현을 하였으며 내용에 부합되는 소재로 면과 실크와 같은 부드럽고 온화한 질감의 재료를 사용하였다. 이러한 작품제작과 연구과정을 통해서 꼴라류와 철트기법에 의한 표현재료가 주는 효과와 재질감은 표현의 적극성과 가능성을 제시하고 현대자수작품제작에 있어서 새로운 방향제시에 도움이 되어 종합예술로서의 작품제작을 추구하고자 하였다.;Modern fiber art, exhibiting unlimited diversity of raw materials and expression techniques under the influence of rapidly changing trends of modern art and the industrial development, has been seeking a new era of pure formative art. Even modern embroidery, with these diversities, has escaped from the existing concept of plane art and acquired a new value concept by moving away from just a plane delineation and approching a relief work and a three-dimensional solid form. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relief effect and the impression of material quality portrayed by the expression techniques of modern embroidery work when the quilt was done by the collage technique. The method of the study was to can out the actual work production and the visual analysis with the review of the literature. As a theoretical background, the origin and the significance of the collage and the general considerations of Quilt were examined, while establishing the definite directions of the work production through the expression materials of the collage and the quilt as a modern fiber art. In the work production, an abstract expression of man's inner world was attempted with applications of soft and gentle quality materials conforming to the content like cotton and silk. Through the work production and the research process, the potentiality of expres- sion provided by the effect of expressive materials in the collage and the quilt techni- que were manifested. In the hopes of serving as an aid in setting a new direction of modern embroidery work production, the present work was pursued as a composite fiber art.
