Abstract
The present paper aims at improving family and home life and social well-being as well. In order to satisfy these purposes, we measured and contrasted the quality of some urban families. And by incorporating the results that we found into our home life, we tried to know whether we can enhance the level of our life. At the same time, we made efforts to find out the relationships between the objective indicator and the subjective indicator regarding the quality of life. On the basis of our research, we established a foundation for a further study of quality of life. The significance of this paper will be found in there. The present work was conducted by means of analyzing questionaires. And the theoretical background was based on the research literatures collected. The frameworks we employed in the data analysis were Pearson's Correlation Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis, One-way Analysis of Variance. The results gotten from what we have analyzed are as follows: 1. The quality of life of large income earners was better than those of small income earners. The ordering of the hierarchy of the class of the large income earners was Housing environment and Housework. And the ordering of the class of mid income earners as Health and Housing environment. Finally, the ordering of the lower income earners was Health and Child Education. And one that deserves our attention is that the one of the lowest domain of the three groups was marked by 'leisure Life' without exceptions. 2. The quality of life was marked 'high', if one's husband's/housewife's educational background was high. 3. The degree of contribution of the objective and subjective indicator to the quality of life was very high, But the degree of contribution of the former was little bit higher than that of the latter. In the case of the objective indicator, one of the highest domain in the degree of contribution was Housework and Family relation in its ordering, and the lowest was leisure life. In the case of subjective indicator, the degree of importance was marked as one of the highest domain. 4. The relationship between the objective indicator and the subjective indicator concerning the quality of life was closely ties Likewise, the relationship between the objective indicators each other was also the case. For a finer and more exact measurement of the quality of life, the basic desire of the human beings and the value system should be defined first and then formalized and quantified life quality indicator ought to be constituted on the basis of the value system we are talking about. Further, the problem of the quality of life should be studied more in a wider perspective in the field of Home Management by focusing the issues of Housework that has been proven as one of the most important contributions toward the quality of Life.
