조개류 형태를 통한 도자표현

Abstract

자연은 인간에게 감동을 주는 귀한 예술적·생명의 모체가 된다. 인간이 창조하는 예술은 단순히 자연의 모방을 위주로 하는 것이 아니라, 자연을 통하여 자기표현의 가능성을 모색하여 왔다. 예술가는 자연의 질서 속에서 미적질서를 발견할 수 있으며 인류는 이러한 원칙 아래서 작품을 제작하였다. 현대의 조형예술에 있어서 표현은 작가의 내면세계를 연결해주는 중요한 역할을 하고있다. 작가의 개성과·미의식·미적직관에 의해 표현방법이 다양해지면서 새로운 표현양식이 변화·확대되어 폭넓은 창작세계가 열리고 있다. 따라서 도자공예도 용도에 얽매이던 사고에서 탈피하여 작가의 심상을 창조적으로 형상화 하고자하는 움직임이 커지고 있다. 본 연구자는 자연물 가운데 조개의 이미지를 Object의 형태로 형상화함으로서 조형예술로서의 도자세계의 영역을 창조적으로 내면세계에 구축하려는데 목적을 두었다. 그리고 조개류를 생물학적인 분류에 의해 5가지 형태로 분류하였고, 조개형태의 문양으로 소용돌이 문양을 분석해서 그 모양의 상징성을 문헌을 통하여 고찰해봄으로 조개와 인간의 생활이 어떤 밀접한 상관성이 있는지를 알아보아서 조개의 일반적 특성을 서술해 보았고 더불어 조개의 형태적 특성을 파악하여 사실적 형태를 본 연구자 나름대로 그 형태적 특성을 분류하여 원형, 심장형, 타원형, 원추형, 원주형, 별형으로 구상화시킨 6가지 형태가 기본형이 되어 단계적인 변형을 시켜가면서 조개의 이미지를 조형적으로 재구성 하였다. 이와같은 분류에 의한 조형화 작업방법으로 석고에 의한 가압성형 및 물레성형, 평판성형, 석고를 성형 모형제작을 통한 덩어리성형을 복합적으로 병용하여 조개의 다양한 이미지를 입체적으로 재구성 하였다. 이처럼 흙을 매체로하여 생동하는 생명의 이미지로서의 조개형태를 입체적 형태로 형상화하는 제작과정에서 여러번의 시행착오를 통해 형태에 맞는 방법론을 재인식하고, 미적경험을 체험하는 가운데 본 연구자 내면에 내재해있는 조형의식의 영역을 넓혀보고자 하였다.;Nature has been the valuable mother of artistic life which has given the impression to human beings. Art created by human beings does not imitate nature simply, but it has grouped the possibility of self-expression through nature. Artists can discover the artistic order in the orders of nature, and human being has made his works under the such principle. In the modern formative arts, the expression of artist's act an important role connecting to his internal world. As the methods of expression are varied by the personality, the aesthetic consciousness, and the artistic intuition of artist, the wider world of creation is being developed with the new method of expression. So ceramic art also broke from the thought bound to use. The movement artist wants to figure his mind creatively is being increased. Also I have studied to mete the creatively internal world by figuring images of shells in all nature. For this study I classified the sheila into five shapes according to biological classifications, and analyzed the spiral patterns with studying the symbol of pattern through the various books. At last I described the general characteristics of the shells and searched for the intimate relations between human life and shells. In the method of production, I used jointly press moulding and hump molds with plaster, wheel forming, slab building and modeling, and plastermould. And I re-organized the variable images of shells into three-dimen-sional works. I reperceived the methodology suitable to the form and then wanted to enlarge the sphere of formative consciousness in my inside during artistic expression.
