If we see the purpose of art to be a process of recreating beauty by finding the true inner somewhat emotion and sense which will be distinguished from the outer formation, then to find hided inner sense from the nature which endlessly produces, transfroms and shows only visual phenomena, and next to view how those things are related to the sense of human on the formative, these two things suggest a significant subject to all the people who are much concerned with art. In this thesis, as finding the inner meaning screened by the visual phenomenon of water, usually natural formation which can be seen often in the surrounding of life, and from the basis of that, in mating the various form formative. the essence existing in it was tried to be clarified. Bachelard expressed in his essay on physical imagination an imagination being wholly associated with a certain material gives easily value to the object Water is one of the greatest valorisation a-1 of human thoughts, i.e., an object of valorisation by purity, and he, in art expression, gave it a value as a properly physical object. Therefore, the reason for selecting water for the subject of this thesis among so many natural things in the ecological world is because it is a material of human origin and universality so deeply related to human, and we can find a possibility of various transformation in the flowing attribute of water. That is, the variable character of water, as flowing liquid becomes itself a proper. physical object in expressing a formative sense. In this study, some effort has been made firstly to look into the essence of water through a general view on water, and for suggesting objective and appropriate data on the physical phenomena of water, secondly to search out the concept and science-historical investigation of water in the aspect of natural science, and for the classification of the form of water, thirdly to classify it through the phenomenon that is viewed by eyes and the phenomena based on the data of scientific drawings, and lastly to provide rather analytic data as making the art works which are formalized in the existing shape of water surface, and in the state of vapor, those works were emphasized in a visually expressing efficiency as reviving such a characteristic of the freely moving vapor by means of scientifically analizing the physical phenomena of water. The works of work-producation involved a clay ornament inserting and forming, and a pressing formation of clay templet, in which white clay for usage as mud ornament, dyed clay for usage as mud ornament, and iron-contained clay mixed with Chamotte were used as materials, a-2 and slip casting were used according to form and size, and glaze is applied in appropriate colors. Firing process in used in relation to the character of the work. As explained above and with such an attitude to look into and view, in the abjective aspect. such the naturally transforming progress of water with time-flow and space-change, I could experience that. even with my work produced by a direct view of a researcher me, no one can produce any works without real understanding and cooperation with such natural objects and this experience became a chance to approve a principle that, water is only a material in its individual existence. but, when it is reproduced as a work in a limitted space as both I and the natural object meet together.;예술의 목적을 자연의 皮相的 外形과 구별되는 內面의 진정한 感情과 意味를 찾아내어 美를 재창조하는 과정으로 본다면 끊임없이 생성되고 변화하는 可視的 현상일 뿐인 자연에서 숨겨진 내면의 의미를 찾고 그것이 인간의 조형의식과 어떻게 서로 관련되는가를 관찰하는 것은 예술에 관심을 지닌 모든 사람들에게 하나의 커다란 문제로 제기 된다.
