Heinz Mack 조각의 조형적 특성

Abstract

현대미술은 다양한 양상을 지니며 산업과학의 발달에 따라 새로운 기법과 표현재료가 추구되고 있다. Heinz Mack는 다양한 표현형태를 지니고 있으며, 과학기술을 도입하여 빛에 의한 조형적 효과를 나타내려 하였는데 그 표현효과는 어떤 것인가를 알아 볼 필요가 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 H. Mack 조각의 조형성을 분석함에 있다. 본 연구의 내용은 H. Mack의 조형이념을 전개하고, 작품은 빛을 매개로 하지않은 형태와 빛을 매개로 한 형태로 분류하여 각각 그 조형효과를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 방법은 문헌, 전시회의 카다로그, 작품, 면담을 기본도구로 하여 H Mack의 작품 60점을 그 특성을 대표하는 것으로 目的標出하고, 면담은 準標準化 面談에 의해 조형적 특성을 檢出하였다. 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 빛을 매개로 하지않은 형태에 있어서 H. Mack는 단순한 형태나 기하학격 형태를 기본으로, 규칙적인 요소의 반복된 운동감과 형태의 물질성에서 오는 공간의 영역을 확장하였다. 둘째, 인공적인 빛을 이용한 작품은 단순하고 기하학적인 형태로, 감상자가 움직이므로서 생기는 시각적인 운동감 또는 motor에 의한 물리적인 운동감과 함께 작품자체에서 빛을 發하고 외부의 빛과 混化하여 형태의 변화와 공간의 개념을 확산하였다. 세째,자연적인 빛을 이용한 작품은 단순하고 기하학적인 형태를 기본으로, 빛 자체의 움직임에 따라 생기는 시각적 움직임이나 물리적 움직임에 의하여 빛에 의한 양감이나 질감의 변화적인 효과와 함께 폭 넓은 공간을 형성한다. 이와같이 H. Mack의 조형적 특성을 단순한 기하학적 형태를 기본으로 하고, 새롭고 의미있는 형태의 창출을 위하여 빛에 부여했던 의미는 운동감과 열려진 공간에 대한 개방성과 함께 공간의 확대를 실현하였다.;Having diverse aspects, modern art has pursued many new methods and materials of expression with the development of industry and science. Heiz Mack has many different types of expression, and tried to express the plastic effect of light by using the scientific techniques, and we need to know what is the expressive effect of light. The aim of this study is to analyze the plastic features of H. Maek's sculpture. This research contains the survey of H. Maek's idea of plasticarts, and the classification of the works as type with and without intermediation of light, trying to analyze the plastic effect of each. This researeh is built on the method of using documents, the catalogues of exhibitions, works, and interviews as basic means, and 60 works of H. Mack's were selected as representatives of his charaeteristies. The result of this analysis is as follows: First, in type without intermediation by light H. Mack extended the sphere of spaee through repeated movement of regular elements and material feature of shape, having simple or geometrical shape as basis. Second, the works which use the eleetrical light give the light from the works themselves and with the optical movement feeling eaused by the audience's moving and with physical movement feeling by motors. The works also extend the concept of space and change the shape by mixing the movement feeling with the light outside. Third, the works whieh use the natural ligh, based on the simple geometrical shape in open space, make the space wide with the cHange effect of quantative or qualitive sense by light through the optical movement feelings caused by the movement of light of itself or physical movement. Like this, the plastic features of H. Mack are based upon simple geometrieal type and for creating the new and meaningful form, the significance given to light came true the extension of spaee with the movement feeling and the openness to the opened space.
