빛에 의한 自然의 抒情的 表現

Abstract

Man coexists with nature ; we make certain of our own existence and life through nature. It can be said that nature is the founder of all shapes and a criterion of harmony and balance. So it is not too much for us to think of nature as a perfect beauty. Perhaps the human aesthetics must be generated from their continuous contacting with and looking at nature. And the artist is the one who feels creative desire getting some images from nature and makes works of art to represent those images by his own unique mentality. The author of this study found out certain properties of pictorial formation inherent in nature, looked at them on the basis of light, one essential element of nature, and used characteristic Indian ink to create lyrical qualities. Light possesses perceptional attributes, thus creating an effect of strengthening or weakening the spatial unity and order. In the author's working, light was used as an agent for emphasizing the mental and psychological characteristics of shapes. As a theoretical background, views of nature demonstrated in the Eastern paintings of nature were investigated and the concept of landscape painting and the formative changes since the modernization of civilization were also examined because the author's artistic fountain is the Oriental landscape painting. To yield lyrical expressions of nature by light, examples of inner representations using light were also investigated and natural shapes seen through light were described in connection with lyrical expression. In actual representing nature, the lyrical qualities of Indian ink were examined in depth at first and then representational possibility of catching up the object. characteristical expression and simplification through Indian ink were explored as experimental and methodological attempts. Finally, such process of investigating and examining was applied to the author's works through which some problems were pointed out. And the author hopes that this study could be a momentum for exploring desirable directions for her future workings.;인간은 자연과 접하고 있으며, 우리는 자연을 통하여 우리 자신의 존재와 생명을 확인한다. 또한 자연은 모든 형상의 기초이며, 조화와 균형의 척도라할 수 있다. 이에 자연에 대해 완전한 美라 생각하는 것도 무리가 아닐 것이다. 인간이 미의식을 갖게 된 것은 아마도 이러한 자연을 접하고 바라보는 가운데서 비롯되었을 것이다. 그러므로 예술가는 자연으로부터 어떠한 이미지를 받아 창작 욕구를 느끼게 되고, 그 다음에는 자신이 받은 이미지를 자기만의 독특한 심상에 의해 표출하여 창조적인 예술 작품을 만들게 되는 것이다. 본인은 자연 속에서 회화적 조형성을 발견하고, 이를 빛이라는 또 다른 자연요소를 통해 바라보았으며, 먹의 특징과 연결하여 서정성을 표현하고자 하였다. 빛은 지각적 속성을 지니며, 공간에 통일감과 질서를 강화하거나 소멸시키는 효과를 준다. 본인의 작업에서 빛은 정신적, 심리적 특징을 강조하기 위한 요소로서 사용되었다. 본 논문에서는 회화에서의 자연표현을 동양회화에서 나타난 자연관에 대해 살펴보았으며 본인 작업의 기본적인 근거를 산수화에 두고 산수화의 개념과 근대 이후의 조형적 변화에 대해 살펴보았다. 또한 빛에 의한 자연의 서정적인 표현을 위하여 빛을 통한 내적 표현에 대해 알아보고 빛으로 본 자연 형상을 서정적 표현과 연결시켜 서술하였다. 자연의 표현방법에 있어서는 먹의 서정성을 심도있게 고찰해 보고, 먹을 통한 대상의 재현적 표현과 특징적 표현, 단순화시킨 표현의 방법적 시도를 통해 그 가능성을 살펴보았다. 이를 본인이 제작한 작품을 중심으로 살펴보면서 작품의 분석을 통해 문제점을 지적하고 앞으로의 방향을 모색하는 계기로 삼고자한다.
