귀국학생을 위한 국어과 특별 교육 방법 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to propose a desirable Korean teaching-learning method for the returnee students in high school. Some returnee students have much trouble to adapt to the Korean culture and educational environments and have experienced great hardships for lack of the Korean language competence and so on. They need extracurricular Korean classes and the Korean language teaching-learning methods for the returnee students. In order to solve this problem, this study will focus on developing the methods of extracurricular Korean teaching-learning. Chapter Ⅱ analyzed the results of test and interview. To construct a teaching-learning model for backward students, maladjusted students and students with the Korean language incompetence among the returnees, this researcher tested Korean proficiency of high school returnees from abroad and had an ethnographic interview with them. The subjects of Test of Korean Proficiency and interview were selected at random. 10 high school returnees at Gangnam-gu, Songpa-gu and Yangcheon-gu in Seoul participated in the investigation. According to the results of test, 10 subjects have weak the abilities of the Korean language vocabulary, grammar and writing. 10 subjects' writing is the weakest. According to interview, the current high schools have not developed the Korean language teaching-learning way for the returnee students and have not administered the extracurricular Korean language education. Chapter Ⅲ dealt with the methodology of the Korean Language education for the returnee students in high school. There are two methods of extracurricular Korean teaching-learning for the returnee students in this paper. One is a model of Korean teaching-learning for writing based on the process-oriented approach. Another is a model of Korean teaching-learning for the Korean language culture and literature based on the culture education through teaching-learning centered on activities for literature. This study tried to find out the special way of the Korean teaching-learning programs and models for the returnee students in high school. It is helpful to improve the high school returnees' capability of learning the Korean language and the like. In Chapter Ⅳ, this study was summarized. And also, for further studies, this paper suggested varied ideas and thoughts of Korean teaching-learning for the returnee students. Further studies must consider both theories and practices of the Korean language teaching-learning for the returnee students.;본 연구는 귀국 학생 중에 고등학생을 대상으로 하여 국어능력시험 및 심층면담을 실시하고, 귀국 학생 중에 고등학생을 위한 국어과 특별 교육 방법을 모색한 연구이다. '귀국 학생'은 '해외에서 2년 이상 거주하고 1년 이상 외국의 학교를 다니다가 귀국한 학생'이며, '귀국한 후 1년이 경과하지 않은 학생과 귀국한 후 1년 이상 거주한 학생'이다. 귀국 학생 중에 국어 능력 부족·학습 장애·문화 부적응 등을 겪고 있는 학생에게는 특별 교육이 필요하다. 그리고 언어 교육·국어 문화 교육은 국어과 교육이 담당할 수 있다. 귀국 학생을 위한 국어과 특별 교수 학습에 관한 연구가 필요한 것이다 본 연구의 목적은 귀국 학생 중에 고등학생을 위한 바람직한 국어과 특별 교수·학습 방법을 개발하고 제안하는 데 있다. 제2장에는 귀국 학생의 국어 능력과 국어과 교육의 실태 조사를 기술했다. 귀국 학생 중에 10명의 고등학생에게 실시한 국어 능력 조사는 제보자의 국어 쓰기 능력이 가장 취약하다는 결과를 보여 준다. 동일 제보자에 대한 국어과 교육 실태 조사는 귀국 학생 중에 고등학생을 위한 '국어과 교수·학습 방법 개발의 부재'·'현행 국어과 특별 교육의 부재'라는 결과를 보여 준다. 조사 결과는 귀국 학생 중에 고등학생을 대상으로 하는 현행 국어과 교육의 문제점을 드러냈다. 제3장에서는 귀국 학생을 위한 바람직한 국어과 특별 교육 방법에 관해 제안한다. 귀국 학생 중에 10명의 고등학생이 제공해 준 조사 정보에 따라 귀국 학생을 위한 국어과 쓰기 교수·학습 방법 및 국어 문화 교수·학습 방법을 개발했다. '과정 중심 접근법'에 의해 귀국 학생을 위한 국어과 쓰기 교수·학습 방법을 모색했고, '문학 교육 활동을 통한 한국 문화 교육' 방법론에 의해 귀국 학생을 위한 국어 문화 교수·학습 방법을 모색했다. 제4장은 결론이다. 본고를 요약했다 그리고 귀국 학생을 위한 국어과 교수·학습에 관한 다양한 후속 연구가 가능하다는 제언을 덧붙였다.
