남·녀 대학생의 직장 및 가정생활에 대한 역할기대

Abstract

본 연구는 직장역할 및 가족역할에 대해 남·녀대학생들이 어느 정도의 가치를 두며(보상가치), 얼마나 열심히 참여할 것인지(몰입정도)를 알아보고자 하였으며, 성(Sex) 및 성역할 정체감, 전공에 따른 차이를 밝혀보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울시에 소재한 대학교 3, 4학년에 재학중인 남학생 220명, 여학생 223명, 가정관리학과 여학생 170명으로 총 613명이었다. 측정도구는 직장역할 및 가족역할기대를 측정하기 위해서는 LRSS를 사용하였고, 성역할 정체감을 측정하기 위해서는 Short Form BSRI를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석을 위해서 t검증과 분산분석을 하였으며, 신뢰도 검증을 위해 Cronbach의 α를 산출하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. l. 남·녀대학생의 직장역할 및 가족역할에 대한 보상가치는 높고, 몰입정도는 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 남자대학생과 여자대학생간에 직장역할 및 가족역할기대 중 2개의 하위영역에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 즉 남자대학생이 결혼역할에 대한 보상가치를 더 높게 두는 것으로 나타났고, 여자대학생이 가정을 돌보는 역할에 대한 몰입정도를 더 높게 기대하는 것으로 나타났다. 2. 남자대학생과 여자대학생의 성역할 정체감 유형에 따라서 직장역할 및 가족역할기대의 하위영역들에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 즉 남자대학생의 경우에는 여성성 유형의 남자대학생이 부모역할에 대한 보상가치를 높게 두는 것으로 나타났고, 양성성 유형의 남자대학생이 결혼역할에 대한 보상가치와 결혼역할에 대한 몰입정도를 높게 기대하는 것으로 나타났다. 여자대학생의 경우에는, 여성성 유형의 여자대학생이 부모역할, 결혼역할에 대한 보상가치와 부모역할, 결혼역할, 가정을 돌보는 역할에 대한 몰입정도를 높게 기대하는 것으로 나타났고, 양성성 유형의 여자대학생이 직장역할에 대한 몰입정도를 높게 기대하는 것으로 나타났다. 가정관리학과 여학생의 경우에는, 여성성 유형의 가정관리학과 여학생이 부모역할, 가정을 돌보는 역할에 대한 보상가치와 부모역할에 대한 몰입정도를 높게 기대하는 것으로 나타났고, 양성성 유형의 가정관리학과 여학생이 직장역할에 대한 보상가치와 직장역할에 대한 몰입정도를 높게 기대하는 것으로 나타났다. 3. 가정관리학과 여학생과 타학과 여학생간에, 직장역할 및 가족 역할기대 중 2개의 하위영역에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 즉 가정관리학과 여학생이 결혼역할과 가정을 돌보는 역할에 대한 보상가치를 타학과 여학생보다 더 높게 두는 것으로 나타났다.;The purpose of this study was to examine work and family role expectations of college students. The relationship between work and family role expectation and sex-role identity was also examined. This study was also investigated the differences between non-traditional major female students and home management major female students in work and family role expectations. The subjects were 613 junior and senior students (male: 220, female: 223, female students who enrolled in home management: 170) selected from 4 universities located in Seoul. Life Role Salience Scales (LRSS) and Bem's Sex Role Inventory (BSRI) were used for collecting data. For the statistical analysis, t-test & one-way ANOVA were used. The results were as follows: 1. Male and female students expected work and family role reward value higher than work and family role commitment. There were significant differences between male and female students in marital role reward value and homecare role commitment. Male students reported significantly higher marital role reward value and female students reported significantly higher homecare role commitment. 2. In terms of sex-role identity, androgynous male students reported significantly higher marital role reward value and marital role commitment, while feminine male students reported significantly higher parental reward value. Feminine female students reported significantly higher parental and marital role reward value as well as commitment. And androgynous female students reported significantly higher occupational role commitment. 3. Home Management major female students showed significantly higher marital role reward value and homecare role reward value than other major female students. However, there were no differences between two group in occupational role reward value and commitment.
