은유적 형상에 의한 인간의 양면성 표현 연구

Abstract

20C 현대미술은 기존의 전통적인 미술 양식에서 탈피하여, 어떤 특정한 양식이나 이념, 경향에 구애받지 않고 자유롭고 창의적인 실험 정신으로 미술 영역의 확대를 가져왔다. 이러한 20C말의 미술, 그리고 사회와 문화 전반에서 목격되는 일반적인 특성을 설명하는데 있어서, '다원주의' (Pluralism)라는 용어가 가장 적절하게 쓰여지고 있다. 후기 산업 사회에서 과학의 발달과 함께 현대의 다양한 실험 정신은 예술에 대한 근본적인 의미와 목적마저도 수정하게 만들었으며, 예술뿐만이 아니라 현대인의 삶 속에서도 생활양식의 많은 변화가 이루어졌다. 현대 기계문명의 발달은, 생활의 편리를 가져다주는 긍정적인 측면 이외에도, 사회와 문화에 있어서 개개인의 자율성을 박탈하고, 자율성을 잃어가며, 점점 비인간화 되어 가는 부정적인 측면을 가져다주었다. 포스트 모더니즘은 이러한 사회적, 문화적 상황 속에서 인간적인 것으로의 회복을 추구하게 되었으며,^(1)) 본인 또한 인간에 대한 근본적인 물음에 대해 생각해 보게 되었다. 본인은 인간과 인간사이의 참된 이해는 따뜻한 인간적인 접촉을 통해 가능하며, 이러한 인간적 접촉을 통해서 참된 인간 회복을 이룰 수 있다고 생각한다. 미술 또한, 외부 세계와의 조화와 개인성의 추구를 통한 참다운 인간 회복을 통해 새로운 미적 형식을 추구해야 한다고 생각된다. 오늘날 예술은 절대적, 궁극적 미의 개념이나 고전적인 가치 체계가 붕괴되고, 수직적인 위계질서보다는 가치의 상대성을 인정하는 수평적인 다양성을 중시하는 구조로 옮겨가고 있는데,^(2)) 이러한 다양한 흐름 속에서 본인은 오늘날의 다양하고 모순적인 상황속에서 인간이 지니는 양면성을 나름의 조형방식으로 찾아보고자 한다. 본인의 작품에서는 특정한 장르의 구속에서 벗어나 열린 공간에 대해 새롭게 인식하고 탐구함으로써 다양한 접근을 시도하려 하며, 이러한 현대미술의 현실을 수용함과 동시에 인간의 본질적 내면세계를 개인속에 내재된 양면성을 바탕으로 다루고자 한다. 주변적인 것을 수용하는 포스트 모더니즘적 입장에서 과거 가부장적 남성중심 사회에서 남자의 부속물로만 여겨지고 낮게 취급받아 온 여성성을 살펴보고자 하는데, 남성성, 여성성중 어느 것에 우월성을 두고자 하는 목적은 아니며, 각각의 개별성을 존중하여 살펴보고자 한다. 또한, 이러한 양면성을 위한 방법으로 남성성, 여성성을 나타내는 시지각적 형태, 물질의 비물질화를 통해 폭넓은 전시공간을 설정한다. 본 논문은 본인의 작품의 분석을 작품의 내용과 방법적 측면으로 나누어 설명하고자 하였다. 내용적 측면에서는 현대 사회에서의 인간적 접촉의 필요성과 인간의 양면성에 관하여 언급하며, 방법적 측면에서는 그러한 양면성을 상징하는 기하학적 형태와 유기적 형태를, 또한 물질의 비물질화에 대하여 살펴보고, 개방적 공간에 대하여 설명하고자 한다. 끝으로 본인의 작품을 제시하고 분석해 봄으로써, 제작 과정을 연구하고 앞으로의 작업 방향을 모색해 보는 계기로 삼고자 한다.;20th century s modern art has extended its area with free and creative experiments independent of certain style or trend, escaping the existing traditional art style. In explaining this late 20th century s art, and its general characteristics, a term,'Pluralism' is being the most properly used. In post industrial society, various experimentalism in modem times made the development of modem mechanic civilization has become a dangerous being rid of individuality in spite of its beneficial function. Accordingly, individuals are losing their autonomy and getting inhuman in this society and culture. Post - modernism became to pursue the restoration of humanity in this social, cultural situation, and I also got to think about basic questions toward human being. So I thought true understanding between human beings is possible through human contacts and this human contact can make the restoration of true humanity come true. Art is also considered that it should pursue a new aesthetic form through the restoration of true humanity in harmony with outside world and the pursuit of individuality. Horizontal localism, which appreciates the relativity of value, is setting down with the destruction of ultimate and absolute beauty or traditional value system, and I also have an open attitude toward this flow, and respect aesthetic diversity. So I try to make various approaches by escaping the constraint of a genre and a plane, and would of human beings based on the both sides of an individual as well as accept the reality of modem art. In addition, I would also like examine feminity, which was not highly appreciated and considered ta belong to men, but I don't have no intention to put gravitity of my work in producing my work. In the aspects of contents, I examined the necessity of human contact and the both sides of human beings, and feminity based on feminism. In the aspects of methods, I examined the geometric, synthetic form based on the both sides of human beings, the non-materialization of material, and space as the extension of expression. Finally, I'd like to grope for the direction of the future work and study work process by suggesting and analyzing my work.
