현대패션에서의 래그웨어(leg wear)에 대한 연구

Abstract

시대상과 함께 인간의 미의식을 반영하는 의복에 있어서 스타킹은 시대의 변천에 따라 많은 변화를 가지고 왔으며 복장미의 전체적인 통일과 현대의 기능적인 실용성을 겸해 더욱 그 가치는 중요시되고 있다 현대에 와서 시각성이 높은 스타킹의 패션시대가 열리고 있으며 아트 투 웨어(art to wear)로써 조형적으로도 여러 방향으로 시도되고 있다. 본 연구는 패션(fashion)성이 가미된 스타킹이 전체 패션에서 차지하는 역할을 파악하고 패션으로서 부각되는 래그·웨어(leg wear)의 새로운 방향을 제시하고자 하는 데에 목적이 있다. 연구자료는 스타킹 전문잡지와 전문서적, 그리고 국내의 스타킹 업계를 견학하여 스타킹의 기원, 발달과정을 고찰하고 또한 우리나라의 도입, 수용, 변천과정을 조사하였다. 조사과정에서 의류산업의 계속적인 확대와 경제발달로 인한 생활수준 향상으로 많은 발전을 가져 왔으나, 스타킹의 기능성과 장식미의 조화는 중요한 부분을 차지하면서도 우리 생활에는 보편적인 스타킹 외에는 받아들이지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 그 이유는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우리나라의 패션스타킹이 무늬없는 스타킹에 비해 가격이 훨씬 비싸다. 둘째, 우리민족 의식구조 속에 뿌리박고 있는 전통적이고 보수적인 사고방식으로 인해 대상을 의식하는 소극적인 태도가 패션스타킹 착용을 꺼리는 원인으로 나타났다. 셋째, 소비자들의 선호도만을 의식하여 디자인 개발에 주력하지 않는 업계의 수동적인 자세도 그 원인이라 하겠다. 이러한 스타킹의 디자인 개발의 필요성을 느껴 실제 작품제작을 시도하였다 소재는 울리 스타킹(wooly stocking)과 스펀(spun), 니트(knit)를 기본으로 하여 직접 작품을 제작하여 연구해 봄으로써 디자인을 중심으로한 래그·웨어(leg wear)의 새로운 방향을 제시하고자 하였다.;Along with the times in a fashion area that indicates the beauty sense of mankind the stockings have been changed, and their importance has become bigger and bigger because they unify a beauty of costumes and have a practical use. Nowadays the times of eye-catching stockings are beginning and in many ways stockings are tried as an art-to-wear. This research has two goals; the first one Is the understanding of stockings's role in total fashion. the second one is the showing anew direction of the leg wear treated as a fashion recently. I consulted sleeking magazines and books that has information about them, and also visited sleeking industries. As a result of them I could find the origin of stockings, their course of development, the way of their introduction to our country, the process of their acception to us and the course of changes. During all these work I found that thanks to the continuous expansion of clothing industry and economic development the stockings have been prospered but to our lives only the common stockings are accepted eventhough stocking's function and harmony occupy the important parts. Those reasons are; the first, the price of fashionable stockings are too high compare to plain ones. the second, our way of thinking that is quite traditional and conservative and also very conscious of other's feeling obstructs to wear fashionable stockings. the third, stocking industry's inactiveness to create new design and their awareness only about consumer's preference. I strongly feel that we should develop a new design of stockings so I tried to make one. As a material I used woolly stocking, spun and knit to create a real work. By doing a real work that emphasized the need of design I tried to show a new direction of leg wear.
