전의식 상태에 관한 표현연구

Abstract

예술은 인간정신의 활동이며 예술가의 내적인 생각의 표현이 담겨져 있다. 창조에 있어 인간본성인 무의식이 중요한 요인이 되고, 인간의 정신활동에서 의식과 무의식의 한계가 완전히 구분되지 않은 둘의 끊임없는 상호작용에 의해 영향받고 표현되어 왔다. 대부분의 창조적 희망을 가진 사람은 의식의 상태나 무의식의 상태가 모두 중요한 가치를 띠고 있음을 깨닫는다. 이 두 상태는 서로 다른 지각의 방식이며 전의식 상태는 두 정신상태를 조화롭게 평형유지시켜주며 함께 공존하고 있는 상태이다. 본 연구의 목적은 지속적으로 창작활동과 그에 따른 표현에 영향을 미치고 있는 전의식 상태에 관한 표현에 있다. 본 연구의 내용은 이론적 배경에서 프로이드의 정신분석에 나타난 의식과 전의식, 무의식 세계를 설명하고 초현실주의와 추상표현주의에서 무의식 세계의 일반적인 재현이 아닌 무의식에 접근할 수 있는 수단을 이용한 작가와 작품을 중심으로 표현된 행위와 의도를 기술한다. 작품표현에서 전의식 상태는 의식과 무의식이 지속적으로 상호관계를 이루어 공존하는 상태를 위한 관문으로써 공간의 깊이감과 연속성으로 나타나며 이는 인간의 조화로운 정신의 흐름을 보여준다. 이와 같은 관계는 인간의 삶과 행동에 깊은 영향을 주고 있음을 의미한다. 본 연구의 방법은 문헌조사와 작품제작을 병행한다. 문헌조사에는 연구와 관련된 작품 16점을 목적 표출하여 설명한다. 전의식을 표현하기 위한 방법은 의식과 무의식을 각각 상징하는 계획된 선과 자연스러운 선, 기하형태와 유기적인 형태를 병행하여 한 공간에 조화롭게 공존시킴으로 형상화한다. 본 연구를 통해 제작된 작품 7점을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 재료에 있어서는 자연적인 선과 계획적인 선을 유도할 수 있는 나무를 상징적인 정신의 관문으로 표현하고 그 사이에 형성되는 내면에 대한 신비스럽고 환상적인 착시와 깊이를 나타내기 위해 실과 동아줄을 사용하였다. 형태에 있어 정신적 관문을 상징적으로 표현하는데는 공통적으로 사각의 형태로 나타났고, 사각과 인간정신의 원형을 나타내는 원을 연결시킴으로써 선이라는 요소에 의해 밀도와 공간을 내포하고 있는 유기적인 면의 형태로 나타났다. 상징적인 관문을 만들기 위한 나무의 처리방법은 연마하거나 나무의 흐름과 결에 따라 끌질을 함으로써 계획된 선과 자연스러운 선이 조화롭게 나타났고, 이러한 요소의 합성을 통해 의식과 무의식이 한 공간에 공존하는 전의식 상태로 표현되었다. 또한 작품전체에 나타난 선의 반복은 공간에 대한 깊이감과 스스로 운동을 하고 있는 듯한 착시현상을 일으켜 내면세계에 대한 환상적인 이미지를 형성하는데 효과적으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 형태와 특성, 재료의 효과로서 표현하고자 했던 전의식 상태는 인간의 본질로서 무의식에 대찰 무한한 창조의 가능성과 기대감, 또는 내면세계와 외면세계의 조화로운 상호관계 등의 여러 가지 의미를 포함하고 있다.;Art is an activity of human spirit and holds the inner thought of an artist. In creation art, human nature, unconsciousness becomes an important factor and the continuos interaction between unconsciousness and consciousness affected and expressed human spiritual activity. A person having creative hope realizes importance of the both state of unconsciousness and consciousness. These two states are the ways of each different sense, and preconscious state play a role of maintainning balance between the two. The purpose of this study is to express the preconscious state which affects creative activity and expressions related to them. The contents of this study describe the world of unconsciousness, consciousness and preconscious in psychoanalysis as a theoretical background, and explain correlationship focusing on the artists' works between unconsciousness and consciousness which use means to approach unconsciousness, not a general presentation of unconsciousness in surrealism and abstract expressionism. In work expression, the preconsicous state is the gateway of maintoinning the lasting correlationship between consciousness and unconsciousness, showing the depth and continuity of space, and this reveals the harmonious flow of the human spirit. This relationship means to deeply affect human life and behavior. The study method is accompanied by literature study and work production. In literature study, l6works related to the study were selected and described. The way to express preconscious is put into shape by harmoniously coexisting in a space natural lines and intentional Tines, geometrical form and organic form. The results of analyzing the seven works produced for this study are as follows. In materials, a tree having both natural lines and intnetional lines symbolizes a gateway of the spirit, and yarn and rope are used to represent the mysterious illusion and depth of an abyss made in between the two. When it comes to shape, rectangular shape is commonly used to symbolically express a spiritual gateway, and is represented as the shape of organic aspect including density and space by liking a rectangle to a circle. As a way of treating a tree as an symbolic gateway, intentional lines and natural lines appeared by polishing or chiseling according to the flow and grain of the tree, and the preconscious state is expressed by combining these elements in which consciousness and unconscious live together in a space. Also, the repeating of lines shown in the whole work courses the illusion of the depth of space and movement, and it is effective in forming an fantastic image of inner world. The preconcious state expressed as the effect of form, characteristic and material includes various meanings such as possibility and expectations on unconsciousness as human nature, or harmonious relationship between one's own inner world and outer world.
